Welcome to the digital version Of the Bikers Trading PostThe Bikers Trading Post will now be published monthly as a digital magazine. We have been making some bigchanges. Now, instead of being a one man show, we're teaming up with others to make us more of a communitymagazine. This will let us cover more and publish a lot more of all the events that you are going to. We are a localpublication and dealing with local happenings. Yes we will cover a few of the bigger shows that a lot of you followbut we understand you have no interest in a poker run in Kentucky. We will not be limited to the per page cost like inthe normal printed publications. You can download the whole magazine and save it and you may take it to a printerand print part of it or all of it. The calendar is sideways in the view mode so you can print it to hang. Most of thearticles will have links and they are in red and labeled. If you click on that link it will take you to the albums of photosor a video slide show from the event and you are welcome to right click in them to download and use for any non-commercial use. Please give us credit if you put them on your pages. You can take them and get prints of you and yourfriends if they were at one of the events that we covered. We have a facebook page that if you click on it will take youto a current list of the events that are happening in our area. https://www.facebook.com/thebikerstradingpost Pleasecheck it out and friend us, and please feel free to share anything on that page you want to.

Now with that all being said this is a biker magazine. We are covering the bike life, style and events. We work hard totry and keep things clean but if something is happening in the background and we miss it, OH WELL. If you areoffended by off color jokes and photos of people getting crazy and photos of girls on bikes you are at the wrong place.

We are looking for people who go to a lot of the events and would like to do sales and also cover a few events. We aretrying to keep the areas to about one county each, so after you get set up you could cover it in 2 or 3 days a month. Weare offering a great sales incentive so if you are looking for a little money on the side please get in touch with us. Wewill also be looking for bikes to feature in the magazine along with models for on the bikes.

This month we will not have listing of all of the up coming events. To find them we will have them updatedalmost daily at https://www.facebook.com/thebikerstradingpost

On about once a week we up date the list on our smug page. The link to the new listing is always pinned to thetop of our facebook page or you can go to our smug page https://thebikerstradingpost.smugmug.com/ and itwill be listed under the date it was up loaded. We add a whole new page and delete the old one so you can notsave the album link.

Once again I was invited by Rich Shira to theBlessing of the Bikes in downtown New Castle. This is a growing event that was started by Richthree years ago and continues to grow. This localevent is sponsored by several differentorganizations including A.B.A.T.E. had anattendance of over 300 this year.

To kick of the event Gary Hasson playedAmazing Grace on the bagpipes. It was veryinteresting watching all of the bikers holdinghands, making a circle around the diamond and upone block as Rich started off with a blessing overthe crowd. Following that was a blessing by BillBloom, who I had the pleasure of meeting whenhe had ? Childs also known as The Machine GunPreacher at his church in Alliquippa on EasterSunday. It was then followed by a group of localpastors who made their way through the crowdblessing individual bikers and their rides. Musicwas also provided by The Good News BluesBand.

You could not have asked for a nicer day to hangout with some old friends and to meet some newfriends. One pair of bikers that I came across wasJack Armagost who brought his 18 year oldgrandson to his first blessing of the bikes. It isgreat to see the older generation teaching theyounger generation the proper way to ride and Ithink Jack was more excited about the Sportsterthat Tyler was riding than the young man was.

One of the highlights was a booth set up on the corner by PizzaMan's Pizza. It has to be one of the best pizzas in Western Pa.

It is always nice to see a really good group of people get togetherfor an event like this.

Harley-Davidson of Erie BikeFestHarley Davidson of Erie has a unique event here in Western Pa. It is a week long line up of motorcycle relatedactivities. They had many bands including UNORDAINED, SEAN PATRICK AND THE NEWGRASSREVOLUTION, NEXT OF KIN & CHRIS HIGBEE, GENEVA and KISS ARMY. There was food and beverages, bike related vendors, contests and a bunch of rides. This is happening in part during the Roar on the Shore and givesthe people a lot more to do in the area. Harley-Davidson of Erie 3712 West 12th Street (Route 5) in Erie, Pa puts ona great event and I look at it and all of the events in Erie to grow.

I had the opportunity to check out the First Annual WesleysWarriors Memorial Ride. At the East Butler Fire Hall. It isalways great to see so many good people getting together tohelp out with a great Cause. They labeled it as a Good oldfashioned, red blooded American fundraiser. It was held tohelp raise money for the fight against childhood cancer in honorof Wesley Zablocki. All proceeds are to benefit CureSearch. -Jim

Wesley was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer) whenhe was only in 2nd grade. He fought bravely for 4 years until hepassed away on March 3, 2015. Wesleys parents, Ted & NikkiZablocki have been big supporters of CureSearch, becausehaving lived up close and personal with childhood cancer forfour years, they saw firsthand that CureSearch was doing someamazing things in childrens cancer research and is a greatsupport for families in this situation.

Wesley Zablocki

Page 14: Tbtp 8 15c

Wesley was a boy scout in Troop39 with his two best friends, oursons: Mike Davis and JacobCampbell. After his passing atonly 11 years old, his friendsreally wanted to do somethingmemorable to honor him. Theboys, who had already startedworking on their hiking meritbadge, knew The Ultimate Hikeis a big fundraiser that supportsCureSearch (the foundation thatwas so important to Wesleysfamily), so hiking in honor oftheir friend just felt like the perfect fit. And, to top it off, the final requirement to get their hiking merit badge will beto complete a 20 mile hike in one day, which coincidently is exactly how long the Ultimate Hike is! Anotherclassmate and friend of Wesleys, Amber Kozik, decided to join the boys on the hike in honor of Wesley. The threekids then had to convince us parents that they could and would train for the hike. And that they would work hard toraise the required $2,400 donation each. After seeing their determination, it was a pretty easy argument for them tomake and we got on board with their plan. Jacobs dad Josh agreed to sign up for the hike, too, so we wouldnt besending our kids out into the wilds of West Virginia unsupervised. Then, we started brainstorming ways to raise thefunds. We had to go with what we knew. Both the Campbell and the Davis families are avid motorcyclists, so Joshcame up with the idea of doing a charity poker run. We gathered friends, family, and fellow bikers to plan andorganize the event.

On Saturday, there were close to 100 motorcyclists, plus approximately 50 family & friends. All together, we raised$8,000! The bars who sponsored the stops along the route were The Rivers Bend in East Brady, Ottos in Emlenton,The Beer Garden in Boyers. Ottos also fed all the participants a free lunch.

The Sunset Riders MC of Butler were a huge help by handling registration and poker hands. The members of EastButler Firemans Club were very generous to allow us to use their facilities and prepare dinner for all the participants.I cant even begin to list all the businesses and individuals who donated prizes for the Chinese Auction Raffle. Therewere 50 really great prizes, including a weekend get-away to Foxburg, a shotgun, an autographed game-worn Steelershelmet, and the big prize, an AR-15! Article submitted by Jenny Davis.

Here are a couple pictures of the three kids who inspired this ride. The kids, Left to Right in the picture: MikeDavis, Amber Kozik, Jacob Campbell. All are 12 years old. It is great to see the effort that these young people cometo such a great success and I am sure this will be an event that will grow. Once again Congratulations on such agreat run. I met Samantha a while back and when she heard I was looking for someone with tattoos she got in touchwith me. If you would like to see her as a feature model on a bike here please e-mail us or if you have somegreat ink please let us know. [email protected] I ask her what is the meaning behind any ofthem?? Well my main big tattoo (the angel wings) are for my father who passed away when I was 9. They are also a coverup of two tattoos done by my ex which I didn't like. All the cheetah print are for him as well because he called me his littlecheetah. The YJ front end on my hip is for one of my best friends who passed away, Neil Bauer, he loved them and wealways talked about me "upgrading my Barbie jeep for one." The one above that it is my son, Bentley's, footprint he was mysaving grace & he always pushed on that side of my ribs. The cross on my wrist is for my faith & for a pastor that I knewwho passed away from cancer we all got it to remember him. "Promise", on my pinkyis for pinky promises, I make them and always keep them. The crown on my upperchest is for my nickname "princess."Who did them? My back was done by Jeremy from Artistic dermagraphics inBoardman, Ohio. My jeep & foot print were done by Mike Sinibaldi out of Ellwoodcity, PA. The cheetah print on my chest & hip were done by Bruce from Longshottattoo in Slippery Rock, PA. Both of my wrist were done by Johnny Salsano in NewCastle, PA. And the crown was done when I was on vacation down south. What was your first and what is your favorite tattoo? I would say my two on myback that are covered up now by the wings. My favorite that is hard to say my firstfavorite is my back I get a lot of compliments on it, the other two would be my jeepand my foot print ones.Do you plan on more??Of course they are so addicting. I do want to start more onmy side piece. What do you do with modeling and what are your plans to do?I do some here andthere. I just recently got more work. I mainly shoot with David Vickers out ofBoardman, Ohio. I would love to do more work. I have expanded my work. Mymain goal is to be on Sports Illustrated or Victoria's Secret. I am always open formore work.

A biker stops by the local HarleyShop to have his bike fixed. Theycouldn't do it while he waited, so hesaid he didn't live far and would justwalk home. On the way home hestopped at the hardware store andbought a bucket and an anvil. Hestopped by the feed store/livestockdealer and picked up acouple ofchickens and a goose. However, struggling outside the store he nowhad a problem: how to carry all ofhis purchases home.

While he is scratching his head hewas approached by a little old ladywho told himshe was lost. She asked,"Can you tell me how to get to 1603Mockingbird Lane?" The biker said,"Well, as a matter of fact, I live at1616 Mockingbird Lane. I wouldwalk you home but I can't carry thislot." The old lady suggested, "Whydon't you put the anvil in the bucket, carry the bucket in one hand, put achicken under each arm and carry thegoose in the other hand?" "Whythank you very much," he said andproceeded to walk the old girl home.

On the way he says, "Let's take myshortcut and go down this alley. We'll be there in no time."The littleold lady looked him over cautiouslythen said, "I am a lonely widowwithout a husband to defend me.How do I know that when we get inthe alley you won't hold me upagainst the wall, pull up my skirt, and ravish me?"

The biker said, "Holy smokes lady! Iam carrying a bucket, an anvil, twochickens and a goose. How in theworld could I possibly hold you upagainst the wall and do that?" Thelady replied, "Set the goose down, cover him with the bucket, put theanvil on top of the bucket and I'llhold the chickens."

Humor to relieveHumor to relieve stressA visit to See St. Peter

A guy is at the Pearly Gates, hoping to be admitted, and St. Petersays to the guy, "I can't see that you did anything really good inyour life, but you never did anything bad either. I tell you what,if you can tell me one really good deed that you did, you're in."

So the guy says, "Once I was driving down the road and saw agang of bikers assaulting this poor girl. So I pulled over, got outmy car, grabbed a tire iron and walked straight up to the gang'sleader--a huge ugly guy with a studded leather jacket, bald headbut with hair all over his body, and a chain running from hisnose to his ear.

Undaunted, I ripped the chain out of his nose and ear andsmashed him over the head with the tire iron. Then I turnedaround and, wielding my tire iron, yelled to the rest of them,'You leave this poor, innocent lady alone! You're all a bunch ofsick, deranged animals! Go home before I teach you all a lessonin pain!'"

Impressed, St. Peter says, "Really? I can't seem to find this inyour file. When did this happen?"

"Oh, about two minutes ago."

George the Mailman

It was George the Mailman's last day on the job after 35 yearsof carrying the mail through all kinds of weather to the sameneighborhood. When he arrived at the first house on his route, hewas greeted by the whole family who congratulated him and senthim on his way with a tidy gift envelope. At the second house, they presented him with a box of finecigars. The folks at the third house handed him a selection ofterrific fishing lures. At the fourth house, he was met at the door by a strikinglybeautiful woman in a revealing negligee. She took him by thehand, gently led him through the door, which she closed behindhim, and took him up the stairs to the bedroom where she blewhis mind with the most passionate love he had ever experienced. When he had enough, they went downstairs and she fixed him agiant breakfast: eggs, potatoes, ham, sausage, blueberry waffles, and fresh-squeezed orange juice. When he was truly satisfied, she poured him a cup of steaming coffee. As she was pouring, henoticed a dollar bill sticking out from under the cup's bottomedge. "All this was just too wonderful for words," he said, "Butwhat's the dollar for?" "Well," she said, "Last night, I told my husband that todaywould be your last day, and that we should do something specialfor you. I asked him what to give you. He said, ' Screw him.Give him a dollar.'

21st Annual

21st Annual

Thunder in the Cascades June 24-28, 2015

Page 38: Tbtp 8 15c
Page 39: Tbtp 8 15c

The 21st annual Thunder in the Cascades was a lotof fun and a great success. I can not believe that ithas already been twenty one years. This year theyran into that same problems that so many of theother events have, it is called RAIN. As theylabeled it It was a Record Breaking Thunder inthe Cascades - or as it is now known- "Thunder-Rainfest 2015". In 21 years, we have never hadfour inches of rainfall during the event! On theupside - it wasn't snow or there would have been 40inches of it!. Through out it all most people had agreat time. A few tents were lost in the storms but Idon't think they found anyone floating down any ofthe local rivers.

If there is a will there is a way and they managed to pull offmost of the events. The bike show and the bike games weremoved inside to the big barn and created a lot of fun for theparticipants and the spectators. The wet T-Shirt contests wereheld in the grand stand and the sky cleared up for both of themand the bands were under cover. As always they had a greatselection of bands starting on Wednesday with US 4 Now. Otherbands were Juvenile Characteristics, Sofa King Cool Band, thealways anticipated Hern Brothers. They had 12 Gauge Justicethere for the first time and this band really kicked ass withprobably the biggest crowd I have seen for an afternoon show.Everything finished up Saturday night with the Ozone Rangerson stage.

As always there was a lot of fun to be had and they made it allhappen. To keep informed of the happenings for next year(hopefully without so much rain) check out their web site.www.thunderinthecascades.com
