Pre-Installation Steps
Redirect master environment variables AND user environment variables TMPand TEMP to C:\temp
Create an administrative OS account forinfodba user. Perform all the following
steps as infodba user. Install Unigraphics NX4 at C:\UGS\NX4
Assume that D:\ is the CD drive
For both infodba user and client user, map T:\ to \\benjamin.dci.com\usr1
For both infodba user and client user, map R:\ & M:\ drives according to thefollowing chart:
Site R:\ M:\
Bloomington ---- \\michael.dci.com\im_prdnt
Nicholasville \\nicholky.dci.com\users \\miloky.dci.com\im_prdnt
Baldwin \\baldwinw.dci.com\users \\luckwi.dci.com\im_prdnt
These drives are the directories where the clients will map to for engineering library filesand database environment.

Install Portal Viewer
Using the UGS supplied CD Teamcenter Engineering Portal Visualization 9.1.2
Run D:\setup.exe
Change the installation path to C:\UGS\PortalVisualization\9_1 as shown
below:

Using the UGS supplied CD Windows Teamcenter Engineering Version 9.1.2
Autorun should start D:\iman0912\setup.exe
In the dialog below choose Custom:

Upgrade Teamcenter Application (IMAN_ROOT) to Version 9.1.2.9
We have copied all the upgrade files to their appropriate directories and taken asnapshot of those changes on a DCI Upgrade CD. Also on this snapshot are someDonaldson specific changes.
Delete C:\UGS\TcEng91 directory Using the Donaldson Bloomington supplied CD DCI TcEng V9.1.2.9 Upgrade
Copy D:\TcEng91 directory to C:\UGS\TcEng91
Install the Portal Client
Using the UGS supplied CD Windows Teamcenter Engineering Version 9.1.2
Do not use the Autorun. Instead execute the following file :D:\portal\two_tier\client_lse\setup.exe

In the dialog below select Portal Client, NX Manager Unigraphics, and PortalVisualization. Change the Destination Folder to C:\UGS\Portal91 by selectingBrowse button.

In the dialog below the Port should automatically be set to 1572. The Node
should automatically be set to the . The Domain shouldautomatically be set according to the domain defined on the machine.

In the dialog below the location for Teamcenter application (IMAN_ROOT) shouldbe filled in automatically as C:\UGS\TcEng91
Set the TcEng DATA (IMAN_DATA) path to M:\ as shown below:

Upgrade the Portal Client to V9.1.2.9
Using the Donaldson Bloomington supplied CD DCI TcEng V9.1.2.9 Upgrade
Copy the contents ofD:\Portal91 to C:\UGS\Portal91. Overwrite existing files.This procedure will upgrade portal and also reduce user visibility to unused
Teamcenter applications on the left side of the screen.
Shortcut
Using the Donaldson Bloomington supplied CD DCI TcEng V9.1.2.9 Upgrade
Copy the shortcut D:\Tceng_common\Teamcenter Engineering to the desktop.
Edit the Teamcenter Engineering shortcut and redirect according to the followingchart:

Nicholasville R:\library\nx4\start_tceng.bat
Baldwin R:\library\nx4\start_tceng.bat
Remove Teamcenter Engineering from the Windows StartPrograms list.We want the users using the start scripts to get the correct environment.
