Drill Floor MatsDrill Floor Mats
Description
Our mats are in use on several installations onshore as well as
offshore. They have been manufactured to withstand the tough drilling
environment and to absorb the energy forces of heavy equipment.
Therefore, they can be used on rotary tables, derrick- and setback/pipe
rack areas. The anti-slip surface is custom-molded to fit the work- or
walk areas.
Furthermore, grooves are embedded into the surface for drainage of
fluids that can accumulate during drilling operations and all mats come
with a standard anti-slip coating for additional traction and durability.
This product is molded from a high strength 100% solid polyurethane
which provides extreme hydrolytic stability, anti-fungal properties,
ultraviolet stability, fire retardant properties, and chemical resistance.
All of our RS mats for drill flooring have been tested. Their mechanical
properties comply with directives such as DIN 53504, DIN 53505, DIN
53516, and ASTM D 695.
Based on the fire test, our pads qualify as class B according to DIN 1402.

Rotary Table Mat
Setback Mat
The mats for the Rotary Table are custom made to fit the exact
type of floor. These rotary table mats are molded from a solid, fire
retardant, chemical resistant polyurethane, and therefore it can offer
high traction to avoid slip, trip, and fall accidents. There are grooves
molded into its surface in order to safely drain the fluids that usually
accumulate during drilling operations. Thus these mats are tough,
durable, and extremely robust. Mat thickness is 1 ¼ ″ (30 mm).
Real Safety has a specially designed setback area mat available for
those who put their pipes on wooden surfaces to protect the ends
of drill pipes. This SB mat is designed to withstand the extreme
mechanical forces, and the channel design will drain the fluids away.
Furthermore, the surface of this mat is treated with a durable anti-
slip coating. Therefore, it has anti-slip properties on both sides. Mat
Thickness 1 ½ “ (40 mm)

Installation/Cutting
Rotary table mats installation Rotary table mats installation
1. Ensure surface is free of dirt or debris and mount or place
pads in accordance with package layout. Consult your
mechanical engineering department for any necessary
approvals.
2. Once pads are placed, ensure that all pieces are flush
with one another and proper alignments of all pieces are
correct. The pads should lay flat.
3. Mark surface through holes molded into the pads.
4. Remove pad and weld guide pins to the spots marked
from above procedure.
5. Allow pins and surrounding metal to cool before laying
pads over the guide pins.

Clean and maintenance
Cleaning:Cleaning:
A clean surface is the optimum surface. When it becomes necessary to clean the pads, any of the
following methods can be used:
• steam, if available
• strong detergent with scrub brushes
• nonflammable solvent which will cut oil and grease
Equipment Inspection:Equipment Inspection:
• Periodically lift and clean the underside of the mat pieces.
• Inspect that all studs are intact and that there is effective traction available at all times.
• If the nonskid surface becomes excessively worn a resurfacing kit can be ordered from us. This may
• be likely every 24 months depending on operations.
