    GREAT GRATITUDE FOR EVERYTHING

I mean it. I am grateful for everything. The stresses of our times

have helped me to find God in so many unexpected places and

situations. And every time I have opened my eyes and found

Him, I have been blessed. There have been many, many

questions and even many tears in this year; and yet there have

been more graces. Thanks be to God.

Fromthe funeral many years ago of a friend who had been connected to my

family over generations, I remember an amazing spiritual that was sung. The

song uses the analogy of life as a journey by train. The refrain is: "Keep your

hand upon the throttle and your eyes upon the rail." The train ultimately crosses

the Jordan River on a trestleand comes to the Union Depot of Heaven. I have

remembered that refrain ever since I attended that funeral, even though I did

not know the song. It is good advice for us now. Our end is in Heaven, and

everything in our lives is a part of our journey so let's keep going with our

hands upon the throttle and our eyes upon the rail.

    GRAN GRATITUD POR TODO

Lo digo en serio. Estoy agradecido por todo. El estrés de nuestro

tiempo me ha ayudado a encontrar a Dios en tantos lugares y

situaciones inesperadas. Y cada vez que abro los ojos y lo

encuentro, me doy cuenta que he sido bendecido. Ha habido

    muchas, muchas preguntas e incluso muchas lágrimas este año;

y sin embargo ha habido más gracia. Gracias a Dios.

    PREK 12 SCHOOL FEASIBILITY STUDY

As the new year approaches, the feasibility study focusing on a potential new Catholic school in

southeast Williamson County continues to move forward with great energy.

At the present time, community demographic statistics are being gathered and analyzed along

with parish and Catholic school enrollment trends in Williamson and Rutherford counties.

Listening sessions were conducted earlier this fall with several individuals and groups, ranging

from pastors, principals and parents. The goal of the data research and listening sessions is to

provide a foundation for determining the strength of the student-pool in areas from which the

proposed school could draw enrollment and ensure sustainability for its future as well as the

    future of the nearby schools.

Combined with a market research survey to be initiated at the start of the new year, the data

findings and results will demonstrate if this new school program is feasible. Please be on the

lookout in early January for a link to complete this important survey. Your input will be critical to

the success of the feasibility study.

    JOURNEY HOME MEAL PREPARATION

The Journey Home is a place that helps the homeless and disadvantaged

residents of Rutherford County. They provide three meals a day, every day to

the people of Rutherford County that are struggling. Their goal is not only to

provide for individuals in need, but to get them jobs and in stable

environments. Our ministry prepares meals for the Journey Home almost

monthly, usually the last Tuesday or Thursday of the month. We will be

    cooking again on Thursday,12/31/20.

If you feel called to assist, please join us from 9:0011:30 am at The Journey

Home: 308 W. Castle St., Murfreesboro. If you have any questions or would

like to join our ministry, contact Suzie Schulenberg at (615) 4032837 or Kori
