The essence of these Awards is to discover and reward exceptional women who – through leadership, entrepreneurialism, mentoring skills and/or ideas – stand out from their colleagues. We also recognise the men who have helped them to realise their success.

In all categories, judges are looking for companies or individuals who have made a real difference to the role of women in business over the past 12 months.

They should have their headquarters or principal trading office based in the Thames Valley or South Coast regions.

Entrants can self-nominate or be nominated by work colleagues, customers, suppliers or other associates.

Enlightened Employer Award (£5 million – £25m turnover)

In addition to the general criteria, judges are seeking nominations from or on behalf of companies with a turnover between £5m and £25m, that have shown exceptional commitment to gender equality in the workplace. They will be able to demonstrate a forward-thinking, proactive and creative approach to enabling women to realise their full potential. This could include taking action in areas such as recruitment, employee recognition and development, flexible working, or any other ways of creating a positive and inclusive workplace culture which enables women to excel.
