An ALDOCOAT Metal Roof Coating System is the ideal solution for your aging and leaking metal roof. Many times the leaks are caused by thermal cycling of the metal roof. The wide range of temperature changes caused the metal roof panels to expand and contract, also resulting in fasteners backing out and seams to open up allowing rainwater into the building.

The ALDOCOAT Metal Roof System, featuring ALDOCOAT 400 Premium Acrylic bright white coating, lowers the surface temperature of bare metal from 160-180° to 90-100°. Not only is the expansion and contraction of the metal greatly reduced, the heat transfer into the building is also significantly lowered, easing the load on the HVAC system during peak demand hours.

The installation includes thorough cleaning of the existing metal roof panels, priming any existing rust and corrosion, sealing of fasteners and seams, addressing the base of all roof penetrations, making sure any skylights are sealed and sealing of any potential leak areas along the ridge cap.

After all this detail work is completed, the base coat of ALDOCOAT 374 is applied at a minimum of 1.5 gallons per 100 square feet and allowed to dry for 24 hours before a top coat of ALDOCOAT 400 is applied at the same rate. ALDOCOAT 400 is Energy Star approved with a solar reflectivity rating of 86% and a thermal emmittance of 88%.
