Santa will visit kid’s ski school and also be in the Lodge for a time to hand out candy and

It’s that time of year again when visions of candy canes and sugar plums dance in our heads! That can only mean one thing; it’s time to make Gingerbread houses for all of Fort Wainwright to see. Come by the LFCAC to put a

Gingerbread house together with our staff. A display case will also be made

available if you would like to share your creation with the community. Please come by the LFCAC and sign up as a limited number of kits will be made

available free of charge along with all of the other building materials and

Apprenticeship Program

Positions with ACS, SKIES, and CYSS now available!

The HIRED! Apprenticeship Program provides 15-18 year-old youth with

meaningful, professionally managed career-exploration opportunities in

Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) operations. The program is open to

dependents of active duty, DoDCivilian, and retired military personnel.

• Candidates must be 15–18 years of age

• Must be registered with Child, Youth & School Services (CYS Services)

• Must have and maintain a GPA of 2.0 or better• Chosen participants are required to

work 15 hours/week for 12 weeks• Additional options and

requirements may be offered during the Summer Term

• Apprentices may complete up to 2 terms/year for 3 consecutive years
