what follows are a number of ideas for you to raise money to help save maryam.

we need you to be confident and do something really special in this blessed month of ramadan. Be generous, be courageous and be competitive. remember the words of allah and help raise as much money as possible so you can join one of the most coordinated efforts to revive the Islamic spirit in the world’s largest muslim country, our beloved Indonesia.

Sponsored Walk/ClimbTypically our walking is now confined to and from our cars. Not good. Why not arrange a trek up to Snowdonor somewhere slightly challenging and get your mates going with you all to get sponsors too.

One car full of people climbing a lovely mountain will surely get in thousands.

4:four

Become an auctioneerNow, there was a time when nice people would have ‘brick-a-brack’ type sales, jumble sales if you may, and would raise money from good causes. Well, then young people kind of lost the plot and people got a little scared of selling their wares to random people. Random people they would have to meet anyway. Enter, Ebay! Why not collect all those items in your house that you do not really use and get them sold. You may find you have more cash in the attic than you expected.

Forfeit a night outUltimately, we all like to go out, we may even like to go out every night. Now, the key to fundraising is remembering big change starts with small change first. Why not contact 10, 20 or 50 of your good friends and ask them to forfeit a night out. Why not raise the whole amount by getting all your mates to forfeit one night out for the year and donate

the money to help #savemaryam!

Smarty cents

Now one of the greatest childhood memories has to be trying to cram as many smarties in your mouth at one time as possible. Oh well maybe that is just us, but nevertheless, people like smarties.

So do this, buy a box of them and go give a tube to all your relatives and ask them to return it to you once they have finished it with coins. Before you know it you should be

more than half way there!

6:SIX

Car washNow washing money is not what you should do, but washing for money is a great way to go. Have a car wash on your street or at your masjid brothers and get people to pay a small premium and let them know all their money is going to help #savemaryam.

7:seven

This is the number one way for sisters to raise money. Arrange at your

local masjid or community center a sisters and children event, with

mehndi, cakes, clothes and not to forget a chocolate fountain. This is

one of the best ways to add value to your community and raise money

for charity. We can help with that so get in touch!

9:nine

its not good to talk all the timeNow when the iPhone and Blackberry revolution happened we started thinking its also good to whatsap, bb, skype and fell in love with the world of apps. That said, we all now have lots of semi-decent mobile phones hanging about and even earlier versions of our fancy iPhones and BB’s. Why not get them sold and find yourself driving closer to your target?

Finally, this is by far the most easiest way to do it and the way which will show who really loves you.

Email all your friends that you are raising money for Mercy Mission and its quest to launch a unique center where all its services will be operated from, and a phenomenal new facility to aid sisters in need will be launched from. A center to support revert sisters and those sisters facing homelessness by supporti ng them with emergency accommodati on.
