Congratulations to all of these students on their wonderful achievements! Attendance at school A link from the Department of Education regarding attendance at school was sent out through Skoolbag this morning. The school certainly continues to encourage unwell children to stay away from school for the safety of others, however, it is a requirement that students who are well enough to attend school do so each day that the school is operational. There have been a large number of students coming in late of a morning. I appreciate that traffic around the school can be difficult in the morning (especially when it is raining) but I please ask that families do all that they can to get their child/children to school on time each day. Regular lateness impacts significantly on a child’s learning and also causes unnecessary disruptions to classes and the morning operations of the office. Your support in this matter is greatly appreciated. Maintaining the highest possible standards in hygiene In line with Department of Education and NSW Health advice, our school continues to do all that we can to provide an environment that is safe for students, staff and parents. Recent COVID cases in NSW remind us that we need to remain vigilant at all times. Can I please ask that all parents continue to support the school by doing the following:

• Keep their child/children at home if they are unwell • Continue to communicate with their child/children the importance of good hand hygiene, respectful

distancing from others, coughing into your elbow and using a tissue or handkerchief as required • Continue to remain off the school grounds in the morning and only enter the grounds in the afternoon if a

parent of a K-2 child • Continue to closely monitor your own hand hygiene practices and interactions with others away from the

school so as to limit the potential for our school community to be impacted of COVID-19

Having our school and community work in partnership with this messaging will give us the best opportunity of maintaining a safe learning environment for all. I thank all parents for your wonderful support.

P&C News It is with great excitement that we can announce our next meeting will be held on Thursday 25th June, 2020 at 7pm in the school library. This is planned to be a face to face meeting on site. Given the current COVID Social Distancing requirements, we will be limited in the numbers that can attend, and we ask that if you are planning to attend the meeting that you advise us by email so we can plan for the numbers attending appropriately. We are very much looking forward to seeing you. The P&C has been working hard to get our canteen re-established after the recent shutdown. We would like to thank our families for supporting the canteen over the last few weeks. The canteen will continue to open four days per week for the rest of Term 2.
