Sis. Pat Simpson was the founder of the Gospel Chronicle. She put
her heart and passion into the Gospel Chronicle from its inception
to her last edition that she published. When I was called and told
that Sis. Simpson wanted to meet with me, I knew why. She had
been ill, but I was not ready to take on her passion, her baby, her
MINISTRY!!! I recall her telling me that she was confident that I
could take it to the next level, that I could continue on her work. I
wasn’t sure it was something that I could do, let alone wanted to do.
She had more confidence in me to continue producing the Chronicle
than I did, but knowing that this was her MINISTRY, her passion, her
baby, and she entrusted it in me, I had to take it on.
Every month, I have to admit that it’s a work. Its not as much work
as she put into it, but it’s a work. In her death in March, its truly
now mine and it is growing to become my passion, my baby, my
MINISTRY!!!
In honor of her, the Gospel Chronicle will continue on, and
prayerfully get better and reach the goals and ambitions that she
had for this MINISTRY.
It is my prayer that you will continue to support the Gospel
Chronicle as we attempt to support your MINISTRY efforts. We are
here for you, to help spread the word of what you are doing for
Christ. Please let us know what you have going on and we will do
our best to share that with the Upstate and BEYOND!!! Thanks for
your support and we THANK GOD for the founder of the Gospel
Chronicle, Sis. Patricia Lindsey-Simpson.

Mrs. Patricia Simpson, 67, of 661 Rutherford Road, passed away on
Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at home
Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Doris
Meekins Irby, Sr.
Surviving: sons, Roger (Verscilla) Lindsey, Patrick Lindsey, James
Carroll Simpson, Ronald Simpson; sisters, Bonnie Franks, and Cynthia
Wright, all of Greenville, and Vastie Hamilton; brother, Hugh (Helen)
Irby, Jr. of Aiken; six grandchildren.
