The Indwelling of the Holy Spirit

When you think about relationship you tend to think about the externals. God is nearer than the very air you breathe and longs to dwell in you so that you might fully participate in His grace. Your choices ought to be informed by your growing sensitivity to the work of the Holy Spirit not only in you but also around you.

Summary God longs to be in relationship with you on a continual basis through the indwelling of His Holy Spirit, thereby maintaining your soul in a state of Grace. You begin your spiritual life in Baptism through an indwelling of the Holy Spirit. This same Spirit strengthens the grace of Baptism at your Confirmation and is restored to your soul in the sacrament of Reconciliation. The Spirit longs to lead you but, you must respond to the love of God by seeking to be continually filled with that Spirit through participation in the Eucharist, the reading of Scripture, fellowship and daily prayer.

Executing Your Game Plan Grow in your love for the Eucharist by attending Mass more intentionally every week. Be more attentive to the reading, seeking the presence and infilling of the Holy Spirit.
