THE INEXPRESSIBLE MYSTERY

The God of the universe is mysterious. Science has not been able to solve the mystery of how the universe came into being or explain exactly what continues to give it crea-tive energy and masterful design. No religion asserts that it has found words to name fully the ineffable mystery of God, for no matter what name we use, God always transcends our limited ability to understand. God is a mystery to be be-lieved, not known. And yet, we Christians believe that our name for God best expresses that inexpressible mystery: God is the Most Holy Trinity of three persons united in a communion of love, pouring forth that creative, saving, sanctifying love into the world. INTRODUCING OUR NEW PRINCIPAL!

We welcome Stefanie Bafus as our new St. Rose Principal! Mrs. Bafus grew up in Salem, OR where she attended Cath-olic School until 9th grade. She also attended Western Oregon State University

where she earned a degree in Public Speaking and Theolo-gy. She then went on to earn

her Masters in Theology from Mt. Angel Semi-nary. Mrs. Bafus worked in both the Moses Lake and Royal City school districts before coming to teach at St. Rose, where she has been for the last six years. Mrs. Bafus is a St. Rose parishioner

and has been a St. Rose School mom for the past six years as well. We are so blessed to have Mrs.

Bafus! May God bless her in the days and months to come and God bless our school!!

CORPUS CHRISTI PROCESSION June 18th after 11 am Bilingual Mass

Please note: Next weekend’s Mass schedule will be the same as this week. There will be no 10 am Mass or 12 pm Mass, instead we will celebrate a

bilingual Mass at the School at 11 am and process after the Mass through town and down to the

MISTERIO INEXPRENSABLE

El Dios del universo es misterioso. La ciencia no ha podido resolver el misterio de co mo el universo surgio ni explicar exactamente que es lo que continu a da ndole energí a crea-dora y disen o magistral. Ninguna religio n afirma que ha encontrado palabras para nombrar plenamente el misterio inefable de Dios, ya que no importa que nombre usemos, Dios siempre trasciende nuestra limitada capacidad de comprensio n. Dios es un misterio en el que se cree, y que no se conoce. Y sin embargo, los cristianos creemos que el nombre que usamos para Dios expresa mejor ese inexpre-sable misterio: Dios es la Santí sima Trinidad de tres perso-nas unidas en una comunio n de amor, derramando ese amor creativo, salvador y santificador en el mundo.
