    RESISTANCE TEMPERATURE DETECTORS (RTDs)

THERMETRICs Industrial RTDs are designed for outdoor heavy duty applications, with the exception of Typ

566, they are intended to be used without a thermowell. A cast iron screw cover head offers protection in mosrugged environments. Aluminum heads are also available (list part number 9313-2 after part number of basi

unit for this option. 1/4 diameter RTDs are standard). 100 OHM platinum sensors are used, and they followthe international Resistance vs Temperature Curve IEC 751 (Replaced DIN 43760), which has a coefficient oresistance (Alpha) of 0.00385 OHMS/OHM/C. We manufacture other types of RTDs but recommend thi

    standard for most applications.

    Type 561

    STANDARD NIPPLE

Element is brazed to end of nipple

Nipples are 1/2 NPT Sch. 40 steel

Nipple can be supplied in extendedlengths for hard to get at location.

Note: To determine RTD length for Types 561 through 565 add

3 to length from top of NPT thread engagement to tip

of probe to allow for head assembly. See standard lengths

    shown in How To Order.

    Type 562

HEX NIPPLE Hex nipple for easy installation 1/2 NPT process connection

    Type 563

STANDARD INDUSTRIAL RTD probe is silver brazed to brass plug

for support Optional mounting adaptors available.

Industrial RTD AssembliesDAILY THERMETRICS Industrial RTD Assemblies consist of three basic components:

    1. A connection head assembly

    2. A thermowell or protection tube3. A RTD element

The lengths and other dimensions of all three components are standardized to provide complete interchangeability. Select bas

components from this page. Thermowells and protection tubes can be selected from the thermowell catalogue. Contact your local Da

Thermetrics representative to show you how to lower your total cost by using standard RTD assembly, element, and thermowell leng

    and designs.
