I am seeking a consultan- cy where common sense, a sense of humour and a “can do” attitude is appreciated. I thoroughly enjoyed studying Product Design at University, and look forward to making the transi- tion from an educational stance to gaining hands on experience of the working realities of a commercial brief. I currently live in London, but would be willing to relocate if the right opportunity was presented. Academic Qualifications Product Design BA (Hons) (2:1) Leeds Metropolitan University The course specialised on de- signing and developing bespoke concept solutions, often for live cli- ents from the initial concept right the way through to development for industry production. Marketing and advertisement con- siderations were taken into account throughout all development stages. Concept visualisations were pro- duced using computer aided design programs such as 3Ds Studio Max, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. A major part of the course involved conducting primary user testing, analysing the data and incorporat- ing the findings within the devel- oped solution. Employment History Beyond Stock Account Executive In between University summers I worked as an Account Executive for an EPOS company in Putney. The role entailed independently ac- quiring leads, client handling and conducting contract negotiations Frequently I was tasked to con- duct client presentations, attend trade shows and client premises for contract negotiations and software demonstrations. I often assist the Support team with administrative duties when required, and assist the manage- ment of the Internal CRM to en- sure ongoing cases were tracked and client projects were resolved. I enjoyed the fast paced nature of the role and the freedom permitted from the Managing Director when negotiating with clients. Afghanistan 3rd Battalion The Rifles I served with the 3rd Battalion The Rifles, in Afghanistan on a seven month operational tour of Afghani- stan. I spent my tour in a Forward Operating Base in Helmand prov- ince, as an infantry soldier. My role was to clear safe paths for my platoon by locating con- cealed Improvised Explosive De- vices (IEDs). My experiences in Afghanistan have taught me how to manage stressful situations, and work productively within extreme working constraints. Army Careers Office Army Recruiter My role was as the Territorial Army Liaison Officer at central Lon- don’s main Army recruiting office. The role involved recruiting for the Regular and Territorial Army, often by attending recruitment events at schools and employment exhibi- tions. Thank you for your time.
