to sell to the scrap metal yard, children’s items were donated to a new center opening in Middlebury, all of the bedding was donated to the Greyhound Rescue Project and anything that could be recycled was. Our goal is to throw away as little as possible. Casella is incredibly generous and we would like to continue to reduce our waste and fine tune the recycling efforts. Some of the ways we can do that is to not accept outdated electronics, computer equipment & household appliances. These items take up a lot of space in the dumpsters because they just DO NOT sell. Believe me, we have tried.

The bottom line is that we start with empty trailers every year and have a fresh selection of yard sale goodies to offer.

Our website is a fabulous resource to see which area you might be interested in. www.threedaystampede.org We are always looking for more volunteers, sponsors, donors, runners & walkers and would love to hear from you. Call us or email with your information and we will contact you before the event to get you signed up. Where does the money go and what is it used for?All of the money raised for the Three Day Stampede is sent directly to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and is used for research and programs. We work closely with the foundation all year in preparation for this event and they offer a wealth of information about Cystic Fibrosis, research, drugs, therapies, etc. on their web site www.cff.org.
