KINSLER Tough Pump IITough because it combines one piece gear shafts with larger diameter roller bearings. All parts are high alloy steel case hardened and precision ground, whilst the housing is hard coated for consistent flow over a very long life. The Tough Pump can Ingest dirt and debris that would cause other pumps to fail. Inlet port directs fuel straight to gears, rather than making a 90° turn like most pumps, this allowing excellent top end performance up to 14,000 engine RPM. MSD engineers were able to reduce the weight by almost 30%, and size of the 12 Amp Pro Mag for a better fit behind the injector. The 12LT is available for Chevy, Ford and Chrysler engines. Each application uses a billet aluminium housing that the generator assembly mounts to. With the lower housing clamped into position, any timing changes can be made by simply loosening the band clamp and rotating the generator.
