Biblical Counseling If you or someone you know would benefit from Biblical Counseling, please call the church office at (936) 582-1977.

Benevolence If you would like to help meet the needs within our body for those who are experiencing financial difficulties, please indicate “benevolence” with your contribution. If you are aware of any specific benevolence needs within the body please contact the following Deacons;  Steve Dwyer, Donald Avery, or Mark Sanderson.

LBC Kids Ministry We have some key volunteer needs in the LBC Kids Ministry that we need your help with! Please prayerfully consider jumping in to care for and shepherd the souls of all these children God has brought to Lakeside. If you are interested in helping, please contact the Church Office. Here is a list of our specific needs:

- 1 Person for Toddler Care (18 months - 3 years of age) -  Once every 5 weeks during Worship Service

- 1 Teaching Team of two for Preschool (3 & 4 year olds) -  Once every 5 weeks during Worship Service

- 1 Teaching Team of two for Children’s Church (1st & 2nd graders) -  Once every 5 weeks during Worship Service

- 1 Person for Toddler Care (18 months - 3 years of age) -  Once every 5 weeks on Wednesday Nights

Grow Group Sign Ups Begins Date: September 6

Our Grow Group ministry is designed to effectively shepherd and disciple everyone who considers LBC their home. It is our desire to create a context where four things can happen:

CONNECT: Help people build close, edifying relationships.

COUNSEL: Help people understand and apply God’s Word to their lives.

CHANGE: Help people along the path of spiritual maturity.

CARE: Help people to practice the “one anothers” of Scripture.

There is no better way to grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ than by being in a dynamic discipleship environment provided by a Grow Group.

WOL Sign Up Begins Date: August 16

Word Of Life Club is our Wednesday night Children’s Program for Pre-K through 6th Grade that runs during the school year. The goal is to evangelize and disciple children by focusing on

three primary areas in a child’s life -- Quiet Time, Scripture Memory, and Christian Service. We encourage every parent to have their children involved in WOL this coming Fall. If you would like to help minister to the children as part of the WOL Team, please contact Ken Parkin at (281) 743-3302.

Nearly everyone hopes to end up in Heaven one day. In fact, a whopping 99% of Americans believe they’ll eventually reside there. Yet the Bible claims that only a few will find the “road that leads to eternal life” (Matthew 7:14). So how can anyone be sure of spending eternity with Jesus Christ? Furthermore, one entire book of the Bible (see 1 John 5:14) was written specifically to address this problem of assurance of salvation. When an entire book is inspired by God to deal with a particular issue, it must be a common problem, even if people don’t admit it.

PRAY FOR US! Here’s a list of specific things to be praying for Camp Revive.

For the Students • That God would break any unsaved students of self reliance and

rebellion against Him. • That God would save! Pray that unsaved students would be

brought to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ! • That God would fill students with a deeper joy in Him than they

have had before. • That God would be more impressive to students as a result of our

time in God’s word. • That students would be open and honest, not trying to make

themselves look better than they really are. • That believing students would have a fresh sense of joy in serving

the Lord. • That students would build Christ-centered friendships. • That students would have a lot of fun.

For the Staff • That all the staff would selflessly love the students with the

strength that God supplies. • That God would give the staff wisdom in pointing the students to

Christ and knowing how to encourage/challenge them. • That God would give Adam great boldness and power as He

proclaims God’s Word. • That God would give Chris great joy and that our times of worship

at camp would lift high God’s name. • That God would give Billy wisdom and energy as he leads the staff

and students.

For one week in the summer, our students will gather with students from other like-minded churches for an action-packed, life-changing, God-glorifying week of Camp Revive!  It will be life-changing because we'll be soaking ourselves in God's Word throughout the week: hearing it preached, working through it, and discussing it in small groups.  We are confident that it will be a time of salvation for some and great growth in Christ for others. We'd encourage you to sign your student up for this crucial week in their walk with the Lord! We don’t want the cost to prohibit anyone from coming! Scholarships and multiple-student discounts are available so please talk to Billy and we will make a plan for your student to join us!
