SIMILARITIES

This is the subway lines in Tokyo.

This is the subway lines in Beijing.

In Tokyo the green oval in the center of the subway lines is the Imperial Palace and near to the upper right corner is the airport. And in Beijing its very similar because in the center is the Forbidden City and near the upper right corner is also an airport.

Tokyo subnade In Tokyo there are lots of subnades, when people walk out of the trains some times they walk into a subnade which is a places to walk under ground. In Tokyo the subnades have lots of stores. The difference about a subnade is that there is no cars so you can walk freely with out any cars passing by. Another thing is that in the summer its cool and in the winter its warm. Subnades relate to the grid because it connects to the trains and the other subnades so it is a grid under ground that you cant see from a areal picture.

IN TOKYO PEOPLE USE THE SUBWAYS, TRAINS, BUSES, BICYCLES, AND THEIR LEGS MORE THEN CARS.

A typical freeway it has only 4 lanes.

In Tokyo people walk a lot to get where there going. The freeway is narrow and the intersection is wide. In suburbs there are more cars but the streets are still not very wide.
