Começando hoje às 14h, os primeiros DJs e guardiões da Chave da Felicidade subirão ao palco do The Gathering para dar início a essa fantástica jornada. Artistas aclamados como Comrad & Coin, Mystique, Lenx & Denx, Tom Keller e outros terão essa grande honra. O incomparável Yves V, o residente mais querido da edição belga, encerrará a festa dessa noite, marcando o passo do que promete ser um fim de semana mais do que memorável.

Before the magnificent machine is unlocked to reveal the secrets of the universe, everyone at DreamVille is invited to celebrate their safe return to these mystical grounds with the illustrious Gathering. Beginning today at 2 p.m., the first DJs and guardians of the Key to Happiness will take the Gathering stage to kick off a fantastical journey. Acclaimed artists Comrad & Coin, Mystique, Lenx & Denx, Tom Keller and more will have this honor. The one-and-only Yves V, the Belgian edition’s most-loved resident, will then close out the night’s festivities, setting the tone for what’s guaranteed to be a most memorable weekend.

SEGURAMENTE!Dispomos de armários nas duas entradas principais do Tomorrowland Brasil, por apenas R$ 50 por dia. Quem estiver no DreamVille também encontra guarda-volumes em cada setor de camping. Os guarda-volumes gerais funcionarão do início do festival até uma hora após o encer-ramento. No DreamVille, sempre a partir das 09h da manhã até 03h (quem ficar acampado até segunda-feira pode acessar os armários até meio-dia). Você pode acessar o seu armário a qualquer momento.

SAFE AND SOUND!Storage lockers are available at Tomorrowland Brasil’s two main entrances for just R$ 50.- per day. Those staying at DreamVille can also find storage lockers in each camping division. Overall storage lockers will work from the beginning of the festival up to one hour after the end of the event. At DreamVille, the storage lockers will always be available from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. (for those camping until Monday, the lockers will remain available until noon). You can access your locker at any time.

TOCA, ZEZINHO!: MÚSICA PARA UMA NOVA GERAÇÃOO Toca, Zezinho! é um dos projetos fundamentais da Casa do Zezinho e tem como objetivos principais sensibilizar as crianças com relação à musica, promover o ensino artístico de vários instrumentos, incentivar as crianças talentosas a continuar e apoiar o desenvolvimento humano de cada um dos meninos e meninas, por meio da sensibilidade e da apreciação do belo. O público atendido pela Casa do Zezinho é composto por crianças e jovens de 6 a 21 anos que vivem em condições precárias (falta de saneamento básico, renda per capita familiar mensal de cerca de R$ 100,00, e frequentam escolas públicas da região, que não proporcionam, na maioria dos casos, atividades como a música), e que não tem quase nenhum acesso à cultura e ao lazer. Garotos que, sem a Casa do Zezinho, dificilmente teriam a oportunidade de ter contato com a música erudita. Para ajudar a desenvolver uma geração que saiba apreciar a música, o Tomorrowland Brasil oferece o correspondente a 10% do valor cheio de cada ingresso cortesia para a iniciativa.

‘TOCA, ZEZINHO!’: MUSIC FOR A NEW GENERATION‘Toca, Zezinho!’ (Play, Zezinho!) is one of the key projects at Casa do Zezinho. It is meant to make children aware of music, to promote artistic education with various instruments (at various levels), to encourage talented children to go on, and to support the general human development of each and every one of the boys and girls, through the development of their sensitivity to and appreciation of beauty. The crowd supported by Casa do Zezinho is composed of children and youngsters between 6 and 21 years of age, living in precarious conditions (lack of sanitation, monthly family income per capita around BRL 100.00, attending public schools in the region that don’t provide artistic education). They have almost no access to culture and leisure. These are children that, without Casa do Zezinho, would hardly have the opportunity to engage with music at all. When a book is opened, it has many stories to tell. And when we take the time to look around, we realize that the magic is very close to each one of us – much closer than we could ever have imagined. That’s how the Land of Melody was built, a place set aside for those who have a pure heart and a soul free from prejudice: for the true chosen ones to live Tomorrow with everything that it has to offer. That’s how thousands of people saw the future come true in Boom, Belgium in June 2015. Spending time with different cultures to the beats of the world’s best DJs made it easier to picture a better, brighter and more just tomorrow. Each corner, each piece of land was covered in magic and the characters of the Book took shape in a collective spell that led thousands of voices to reverberate together, singing lyrics about love and peace. In a single poster amid the crowd, the cross, David’s star and the crescent moon sealed the call for unity among religions and people across the planet. Who knows… maybe one day the whole world will be like the Kingdom of Melodia: free.

In order for this to happen, each and every one of us needs to look within and discover their fears and weaknesses, rethink their attitudes, and come to know how to respect one another. This, friends, is the true Key to Happiness. That’s how the theme of Tomorrowland Brasil 2016 came to be: it offers a rare opportunity to all of those who dare to find out a little bit more about themselves. Life is, after all, not devoid of of pain and anguish – and true happiness lies in knowing how to seize moments of love and joy. During a period of national crisis, in which Brazilians really need to re-find themselves, the City of Dreamers is reborn to transmit strength and hope. Tomorrowland Brasil 2015: poucos sabem, mas perigos se encontravam à espera numa terra de sonho e de magia. Em meio ao frenesi do Dreamville, uma Carol se perdeu. Seus amigos a procuraram por dias e noites, gritando seu nome ininterruptamente. Como um bando de aves exóticas, por onde o grupo passava e começava a chamar por “Carol! Carol!” centenas de habitantes se juntavam a esta busca. Por onde esteve Carol? Quem era Carol? A Carol realmente se perdeu? Na verdade, lendas rezam que foi tudo uma brincadeira em nome da zuera (uma palavra que só um bom brasileiro sabe interpretar) onde não existia Carol nenhuma, a intenção era apenas... Fazer bagunça! Assim, a maior piada interna de 2015 se espalhou pelo Dreamville, e nossos repórteres foram atrás de algumas “Caróis” que estiveram aqui (e outras que virão pela primeira vez) para saber o que pensam sobre essa terra mágica onde the zuera never ends!

“One of the coolest things about Tomorrowland 2015 was to be able to follow all the excitement and preparation for the event on Facebook groups. Every day that went by the expectation would build up more and more – the gang was planning to meet up, exchanging information and helping each other to ensure that the experience would be incredible for everyone. When I got there, not only was I baffled with the event’s entire structure, but I was especially mesmerized by DreamVille – its energy, the crowd’s vibe. I was also really happy when I found people I knew on Facebook. It was great to see everyone meeting up and enjoying those moments together. To me, Tomorrowland is about music, it’s about celebration, but it is especially about people finding each other and having fun together. And, naturally, it’s about zueira: months after the event, every time I posted something on the Facebook groups, someone would comment: ‘Where’s Carol?’.”

Tomorrowland Brasil 2015: very few people know this, but danger awaited in the land of dreams and magic. Amid the frenzy that took over DreamVille, a girl called Carol got lost. Friends looked for her for days and nights, incessantly calling out her name. Much like a frantic flock of birds, the group would shout out “Carol! Carol!” everywhere they went. Hundreds of inhabitants joined the search. Where was Carol? Who was Carol? Did Carol really get lost? Actually, rumor has it that it was all a big prank in the name of zueira (a word similar to “messing around” - but with no equivalent in English - that only a good Brazilian can understand), where this so-called Carol didn’t actually exist. It was just about… pulling everyone’s leg! And that’s how the biggest inside joke of 2015 spread like wildfire in DreamVille. Our reporters sought out a few “Carols” that was here for last year’s madness (and others that will come for the first time) to find out what they think about this magical land where the zueira never ends!

“Uma das coisas mais legais do Tomorrowland 2015 foi ter acompanhado nos grupos do Facebook toda a empolgação e preparação para o evento. Dia a dia a expectativa ia aumentando, a galera marcando de se encontrar, trocando informações e se ajudando para que experiência fosse incrível pra todo mundo. Chegando lá, além de toda a estrutura do evento, me encantei especialmente com a DreamVille, a energia que rolava lá, o clima da galera. Também fiquei super feliz de encontrar as pessoas que conhecia pelo Face, ver todo mundo se encontrando, curtindo aqueles momentos juntos. Pra mim, o Tomorrowland é sobre música, é sobre festa, mas é especialmente sobre pessoas se encontrando e se divertindo juntas. E é claro, zoeira: meses após o evento, toda postagem que eu fazia nos grupos do Facebook vinha acompanhada do comentário ‘Cadê a Carol?’.”

O bom filho à casa torna! Será minha segunda vez no festival, e se tudo der certo vamos em todas as edições que rolarem no Brasil. Esse ano, com a entrega das TC (entendedores entenderão), a expectativa aumentou bastante... Acredito que toda a galera ficou muito ansiosa, porque nos aproximou ainda mais da ediçãoo Belga. O Tomorrowland tem essa “coisa” de fazer todo mundo se programar com um ano de antecedência. Você compra os ingressos em setembro, corre atrás de hospedagem, arruma pacotes, já cria amizades... Acaba que a experiência toda é sempre enorme, independente do line-up. Será minha primeira vez no DreamVille, imagino que seja uma bagunça saudável (risos)! Apensar de não ter vivido ainda, já sei que tem uma energia enorme.

É minha primeira vez no Tomorrowand e estou super ansiosa! Acho que nunca pesquisei tanto sobre um festival, sempre quis muito ir mas nunca realmente me organizei. De repente deu certo e não poderia estar mais empolgada. Estou indo com uma amiga, mas lá vou encontrar mais pessoas da galera que estão indo – vai ser uma bagunça das boas! Cada um está indo de um jeito: avião, carro, ônibus... Só espero que todo mundo se encontre lá pra curtir junto cada minuto do festival. Não sou muito de dormir em barraca, mas me falaram tanto que a experiência só seria completa dentro do DreamVille que resolvi arriscar! Achei muito engraçado a brincadeira que rolou no ano passado, até porque me identifico 100%: meu nome é Carol, não é Carolina nem Ana Caroline. É, acho que esse festival tá pra mim (risos).

It’s homecoming weekend! This will be my second time at the festival, and if everything works out, we’ll attend all editions

that take place in Brazil. This year, as the TCs were delivered (those meant to get this, will!), our expectations turned out to be quite high… I believe that everyone became very anxious, because it brought us even closer to the Belgium edition. Tomorrowland has this “thing” of making everyone

plan one year in advance. You buy the tickets in September, search for accommodation, purchase travel packages and make

friends along the away. It turns out that the experience is always huge, regardless of the line-up. This will be my first time staying at

DreamVille, and I think it’s probably a healthy sort of mayhem, haha! Even though I haven’t experienced it yet, I already know that it has this massive energy.

It’s my first time at Tomorrowland and I’m super anxious! I don’t think I’ve ever done so much research on a festival. I’ve always

really wanted to go, but I never planned ahead. Suddenly everything worked out and I couldn’t be more excited. I’m going with a friend, but I’ll run into other people from our crowd at the festival – it’ll be one of those massive parties! Each person is finding their own way there: plane, car, bus…

I only hope we can all find each other so that we can enjoy every minute of the festival together. I’m not so much in love

with the idea of sleeping in a tent… but I heard from so many different people that the experience would only be complete if I stayed

at DreamVille that I decided to give it a shot! I thought last year’s joke was really funny, mostly because I can totally relate: my name is Carol, it’s not Carolina or Ana Caroline. Yeah, I think this festival is right up my alley, haha.

De um histórico nada musical – ele era professor de educação física antes de sair em turnê pelo mundo – Yves viu o nosso amado festival crescer de suas humildes origens no Boom, a iterações vertiginosas no Brasil. Seus últimos releases, como “Fever”, “Out of Gravity e” ,”Indigo”, provam que Yves continua arrasando quando o assunto é colocar a pista para ferver. Seu som varia entre o house edificante ao big room explosivo. Ele conta com apresentações marcadas não só em ambas edições do Tomorrowland, mas também em países ao redor do mundo, do Vietnã a França, e da Bélgica a Croácia. Um cara tão ocupado com certeza tem pouco tempo livre – mas conseguimos nos encontrar para fazer uma curta entrevista sobre as suas artimanhas em Itu.

Oi, Yves! Bom, você já toca no Tomorrowland há alguns anos. Conta pra gente: como você se sentiu quando se apresentou na cabine do Mainstage pela primeira vez? Foi um sonho que se tornou realidade. Bom, eu comecei a tocar no Tomorrowland 12 anos atrás, e agora é incrível ver como um evento super pequeno na Bélgica cresceu e é conhecido no mundo todo!

Você também tocou na primeira edição desse incrível festival no Brasil. Você sentiu a diferença do público brasileiro? Eu tenho vários fãs no Brasil e já toquei em diversas baladas, festivais e festas no país. Eu adoro o público brasileiro! E a combinação Tomorrowland + Brasil é perfeita: ótimo ambiente, clima quente, lugar lindo... Pra mim, o Brasil é um dos meus países favoritos.

E as V Sessions? Qual é o seu objetivo principal com essa marca? As V Sessions são parte do meu programa de rádio, e sempre que sou convidado a apresentar algum palco, eu convido meus amigos DJs para se divertirem comigo. Agora, estou trabalhando no meu próprio selo também.

Se você fosse pudesse curtir o Tomorrowland Brasil na pista, quais artistas você não perderia por nada? Eu com certeza veria as apresentações do Laidback Luke, Lost Frequencies e Solomun.

O que as pessoas podem esperar do seu set no esquenta “The Gathering” hoje à noite? Diversão! Um começo muito vibrante do festival. Então, preparem-se!

A mainstay of Tomorrowland’s resident DJ team from the get-go, Yves V hardly needs an introduction here. Coming from a non-musical background – he was a PE teacher before he started touring the world – Yves has seen our beloved festival grow from humble beginnings in Boom to breathtaking iterations in Brazil. Recent releases such as “Fever,” “Out of Gravity” and “Indigo” prove that Yves remains at the top of his game when it comes to keeping the crowds moving; his sounds range from uplifting house to banging, in-your-face bigroom. He has performances lined up not only at both editions of Tomorrowland, but also in countries the world over, from Vietnam to France and from Belgium to Croatia. Such a busy man obviously has little time to spare – but we managed to get together for a short interview about his antics in Itu.

Hello, Yves! So, you’ve been playing at Tomorrowland for quite a few years now. Tell us: how did you feel entering the DJ booth of the Mainstage for the first time?“It felt like a dream come true. Well, I started playing at Tomorrowland 12 years ago, and now it’s really amazing to see that such a small Belgian event has grown and is known all over the world!”

You’ve also played the first edition of this incredible festival in Brazil. Did you feel the difference of the Brazilian crowd?“I have lots of fans in Brazil and have already played at several clubs, festivals, and parties in Brazil. I think the Brazilians are a great crowd! And the combination of Tomorrowland with Brazil is perfect: good atmosphere, warm weather, nice environment… For me, Brazil is one of my favorite countries.”

What about V Sessions? What is your main goal with this brand?“V Sessions is my radio show and, whenever I get invited to host a stage, I invite my DJ friends to have fun with me. Right now I am also working on my own label.”

If you could be a part of the crowd of Tomorrowland Brazil, which artists would you definitely check out?“I’d definitely check out Laidback Luke, Lost Frequencies and Solomun.”

What can people expect from your set at The Gathering tonight?“Fun! A very vibrant start to the festival. So be ready!”

Desde então ele já lançou dois álbuns, que são espécies de coletâneas de suas refeituras pop (“Prayer”, de 2014; e “Sugar”, de 2015), cheios de hits globais, com centenas de milhões de plays no YouTube, no Spotify e rotação máxima em FMs mundo afora – o Brasil incluso, é lógico.

O sueco Alessandro Lindblad, 24 anos, é a the next big thing na música eletrônica. Não é a gente que está dizendo, foi Madonna, rainha do pop, que o chamou para abrir shows de sua turnê global MDNA. Alesso faz sua estreia no Tomorrowland Brasil com honras de popstar no MainStage hoje, um herói, como prega seu hit mundial “Heroes (We Could Be)”, que com os vocais de Tove Lo será um momento de emoção extrema no palco do festival. Amante da dance music desde menino, aos 20 anos Alesso já estava sendo apadrinhado por Sebastian Ingrosso, seu conterrâneo e estrela do Swedish House Mafia.

Madonna, Ingrosso, todos perceberam o talento do rapaz para vocais melódicos bem costurados com eletrônica progressiva, com pitadas de trance, EDM e muita, muita emoção. Swedish DJ Alessandro Lindblad, 24, is the next big thing in electronic music. We’re not the ones saying so – it was Madonna, Queen of Pop, who invited him to open for her concerts in the global MDNA tour. Alesso debuts at Tomorrowland Brasil with pop star honors at the Mainstage today – a hero, as preached by his global hit “Heroes (We Could Be)” which, featuring Tove Lo’s vocals, will warrant an exceptionally poignant moment on the festival’s Mainstage. Passionate about dance music from a young age, Alesso was already taken under the wings of fellow countryman and Swedish House Mafia star, Sebastian Ingrosso, at 20 years old.

Madonna, Ingrosso, pretty much everyone’s noticed the DJ’s talent for melodic and well-mixed vocals combined with progressive electronic beats, including pinches of trance, EDM and loads upon loads of emotion. His talent was quickly procured by American label Def Jam, home of Kanye West, Iggy Azalea, Nas, Afrojack and Axwell /\ Ingrosso. Def Jam released Alesso’s “Forever” LP in 2015, ensuring one more reason for the DJ’s tour in Brazil through Tomorrowland. It reached first place on the charts for dance music albums in the United States, proving his ultimate success in the industry. “The most important thing for me is that everyone has a good time,” said Alesso to the English newspaper, DailyMail. “Whether it’s for 10 or 100,000 people, it doesn’t matter. Naturally, it’s more exciting when it’s a larger audience. When the crowds come together, there’s a common purpose and it’s even more wonderful.”

Alesso’s music is Swedish house contemporary to House Mafia, which in spite of its melodic pop moments, also values a solid and hard energy. ANFITRIÃO DE MAIS UMA PISTA DO SELO DIYNAMIC, O DJ E PRODUTOR BÓSNIO MOSTRA COMO O DEEP HOUSE E O MINIMAL UNDERGROUND SÃO GÊNEROS DAS MULTIDÕES. O Tomorrowland Brasil terá novamente hoje, em seu último dia de festival, uma pista da Diynamic Music, selo fundado por um dos grandes nomes do deep house mundial: o bósnio Solomun. Ele se apresenta e mostra as nuances entre o minimalismo houseiro, melodias e a gravidade do bass 4x4, provando como é um dos mais talentosos DJs que mostram como o underground é bem amplo. Um exemplo: é dele um dos episódios mais famosos do Boiler Room, gravado no México, sucesso de audiência junto de episódios com nomes mais tradicionais como Carl Cox. Em 2015 Solomun apresentou um set introspectivo, porém cheio de energia, que demandou concentração musical do público, no que o DJ respondia com hipnose, groove e clima de estar ouvindo o melhor da música eletrônica europeia nos jardins psicodélicos de Itu.

Desde sua aparição no Tomorrowland Brasil do ano passado, Solomun também tornou-se residente da BBC Radio One, espaço da dance music na rádio estatal britânica de alcance global – ou seja, ele está em todo lugar, espalhando a palavra (e os beats) de sua house music underground. “A ponte entre nossa cena e a música indie está ficando cada vez menor, estou animado”, opina o DJ e produtor, em entrevista à Pulse na ocasião do festival Diynamic que ele armou em Istambul, Turquia, internacionalizando cada vez mais seu selo por diversos continentes.

Para quem não conhece ou quer saber um pouco mais sobre Solomun, a dica é começar apreciando o famoso remix que ele fez para “Around”, de Noir & Haze, e também a envolvente e confortável “After Rain Comes Sun”. Today, on the festival’s last day, Tomorrowland Brasil will once again feature a dance floor by Diynamic Music, the label founded by one of the greatest names in the global deep house scene: Solomun. Solomun will perform and showcase the nuances between the minimalism of house music, its melodies, and the depth of the 4x4 bass, proving how he is one of the most talented DJs currently displaying how broad underground music can actually be. One example: he is responsible for one of Boiler Room’s most renowned episodes, recorded in Mexico, alongside the venue’s most famous performances with more traditional names, such as Carl Cox. At Tomorrowland Brasil 2015, Solomun performed an introspective set, filled with energy, that demanded the audience’s complete musical concentration. The DJ responded with hypnosis, groove, and an atmosphere where everyone simply had to listen to the best of European electronic music in the psychedelic gardens of Itu.

Since his performance at Tomorrowland Brasil last year, Solomun has become a resident at BBC Radio One, creating a dance music showcase on the British radio station with global reach – in other words, he’s everywhere, spreading the word (and the beats) of his underground house music. “The gap between our scene and indie music is becoming increasingly smaller and I’m excited,” said the DJ and producer in an interview with Pulse during Diynamic’s festival, which he set up in Istanbul, Turkey, as part of the further internationalization of his label.

For those who don’t know or wish to know a little bit more about Solomun, the tip is to start by enjoying the well-known remix he did for “Around” by Noir & Haze, as well as the engaging and comfortable track, “After Rain Comes Sun”.
