INDUSTRIAL VISIT REPORT

VISIT AT : HOTEL CRYSTAL PALACE &

: PVS MALL

Date: 18/May/2012

Day : Friday

Visit at the Hotel Crystal Palace in Meerut

This is a front view of Hotel Crystal Palace with 50 students of Town Schools has

been visited with Team members Ms. Harpreet Kaur, Mr. Sandeep Kumar & Mr.

Sarbachan Singh.

Visit At : PVS Mall , Meerut with all the Towns Schools Staff & Students

The visit has been launched by Town School

for BPL youth. On Friday dated 18/05/2012

at the timing 10:30 AM we had arranged cab

for students before living we had worship of

Goddess Sarawati for the success and progress

of the programme as our journey begin for the

Meerut City.

As we have taken students one by one in the

queue & let them to sit in the cab.

There was two mini bus, In the one bus there was

25 students with the faculty member Mr. Sandeep

Kumar & Mr. Sarbachan Singh and in another Cab

With the 25 students with the faculty Ms. Harpreet

Kaur.

Before living faculty members has been given some

Instructions like:

1) Don’t misbehave with anybody.

2) Students should be well groomed.

3) All the students will make their pair.

4) Staff has collected contact no. of each & every

students.

5) Students will cooperate with each other.

6) Maintain a discipline

7) Faculty checked their resumes with photograph

8)Faculty has checked their lunch & water bottle of each students.

9) Faculty motivated the students & asked them to be very confident.

We reached Meerut at 11:30 am then the faculty taken the attendance of students according to

their bus wise, then the faculty incharge has make their pairs of the students and then taken

them to the PVS Mal entry.

In the PVS Mall the 1st entry was in Pizza Hut. Ms Harpreet Kaur explain the departments & the

work profile in the Pizza Hut and then had a words with the Restaurant Manager Mr. Puneet

Sehgal & explain him about the Town Schools program and request him to give the opportunity

to join the Pizza Hut , So Mr. Puneet told that we will fix one day for the interview. After that

there was 2nd

visit in the Mc Donald again Mam has showed & explain all the departments &

also explain them about the work profile in the Mc Donald. There was another Restaurant

Sagar Ratana again explain them how to do their work.

Visit in Big Bazaar

Ms Harpreet Kaur again has explained about the various departments & work profile of the

employees in the Big Bazaar & also shown their how to be well groomed by showing the

example of Big Bazaar employees.

Big Bazaar HR Mr.Vikas

Mr. Vikas has given is precious time to the studnets , He has explained about the

Retail Industry & he told what attributes are required to enter in this Industry., He

told Retail Sector is wide sector & to enter in it you need to understand a customer

& he motivate the students. Then he had the words with the faculty that we will take

interview & he had given the contact number to Ms. Harpreet and also had words

with Mr Sandeep & Mr Sarbhachan and told that we will call you.

Big Bazaar Mr. Vivek Anand (Marketing Executive)

Big Bazaar Mr. Vivek Anand (Marketing Executive) has taken a session with students, he has

explained Retail Sector is a wide sector to entry in this sector you should be :

You should need to be well groomed

You should have effective Communication skills

You should be flexible

You should have respect for your Organization whichever you join

You should maintain your company ID card very carefully because its speak about your

organization.

The Retail sector is the sector which can never be end even he told about the job shifts

If you will perform good you can became a Manager in a short time.

Some students ask questions from Mr. Vivek Anand:

Q: Sir, Is there the night shift?

A: There is no night shift.

Q: What is the need of Retail & Hospitality sector?

A: Customer handling is very important.

Q: What is the starting salary?

A: If you are fresher don’t hope salary for 1 year.

Also had some photo sessions by solving the queries of the students.

At last they give their contact no. & told to visit again so that they can co-operate

with us. Then Mr. Sandeep & Mr. Sarbachan has taken half of the students for the

visit of other department in the mall.

First time students use Escalator, they was very happy and enjoyed lot.

After completing the visit in PVS Mall Ms. Harpreet had taken attendance of the

students & had a photo in front of the PVS Mall then faculties taken them to the

bus and let them sit one by one to move ahead to the Hotel Crystal Palace.

Reached at 01:00 pm at Hotel Crystal Palace, Meerut then Ms. Harpreet Kaur,

Mr. Sarbachan Singh & Mr. Sandeep Kumar gone to meet to MD of the hotel &

explain them about the Town Schools Programmes & Mam ask permition for the

visit of Hotel.

They allowed than the Mam took all the girls with them and make them sit in the

Hall & Sir brings remaining students to make them sit in the hall. Then Mam gone

to the Reception & asked the Room keys of

Classic Room No.201

Delux Room No.2011

Super Delux Room No. 207 &

Suit Rooms No. 210

RECEPTION

Mam took 6-6 students for the visit of all the Departments.

House Keepings etc.

Mam explain them Roles & Responsibility in the Hotel, and also told the

importance of grooming for showing the employees of Hotels.

Ms. Harpreet & Mr. Sandeep took students in the room visit by the category wise.

Mam explain the difference between all the rooms & explain each & every

amenities in the room.

Mam is explaining the use of Electricity Tea Coffee Maker, there was a small pouch

of milk powder, Tea, coffee pack, sugar, sugar free etc.

Mam is explaining the use of Sign Board of

“Do not disturb”

“Please clean my room”

Mam is explaining about the other amenities of the room.

Sir is explaining how to use Room service by extension phone.

Mam explained about the Mini Bar in the room and about their charges by showing

the leaflet

Having the words with the Hotel General Manager Mr. Subroth Chakawati.

Mr. Chakrawati has given brief view on Hospitality Sectors some of them are like:

To join the Hospitality you should have Patience

You should be well groomed

He has also explain how to come for interview and if you don’t know any

answer in Interview you should answer that I don’t know about this but I

want to learn about this.

He raised question from students what is difference between Human being

& Animal?

He answer differences first is Thinking & second is Atmosphere.

At Last he motivate the student he give the example of the Bird, he said that

when there is two much cold in their country they migrate to other country

in which it takes 15days to come.

Mr. Chakrawati has given his contact no. and asked to send the student for the

interview.

At last Mam return the room keys given Thanks the Hotel staff for co-operating us.

Mam has explained about the Town Schools program to the Foreigner guest of

Hotel.

Mam has talked to old lady who was 101yers ago.
