SOUTHLAKE’S ANESTHESIA TEAM
The 2016–17 fiscal year has brought some exciting changes and developments at both the Hospital and the Foundation. We recently developed a revenue generation plan that will serve as the basis for a 10-year fundraising strategy. As the population in our community and surrounding areas within Southlake’s catchment area continues to grow, this plan will provide important strategies for the Foundation to better support the urgent priorities for equipment, technology and infrastructure required at Southlake to meet rapidly growing health care demands.

Over the past year, we’ve seen a lot of exciting changes at Southlake Regional Health Centre. The Foundation and Hospital continue to work closely together to deliver on Southlake’s promise to provide the Ultimate Patient Experience with a focus on innovation, as our organizations embark on the development of an exciting new 10-year plan for Southlake’s future.

DONOR SPOTLIGHT:
A TRIBUTE TO JOHN AND MARGARET BAHENWe often hear stories of how Southlake transformed someone’s life. The life of a grandmother, treated for breast cancer and able to spend more time with her family, or a father, whose life-saving cardiac surgery was the reason he could walk his daughter down the aisle. But Southlake’s patients and supporters often have a lasting and meaningful impact on us as well. People like John and Margaret Bahen.

Seven to eleven months. That’s how long 62-year-old Laurie Blainey was told she had to live when she received the devastating diagnosis of pancreatic cancer in June 2013. Despite months of chemotherapy, less than a year later she and her husband, Ron, knew that their days together were coming to an end.

CELEBRATING SUPPORT ACROSS THE REGIONSouthlake Foundation is fortunate to be part of such a generous community, as dedicated to improving health care close to home as our staff. From garage sales to golf tournaments, Polo matches to fitness events, more than 150 third party events are hosted to raise urgent funds for Southlake every year.
Together, these events raised more than $1 million last year in funds for our hospital! We are so grateful to the dedicated individuals who spend countless hours organizing and hosting fundraising events for their hard work and dedication to transforming lives at Southlake. Congratulations on reaching this extraordinary milestone!

The Ultimate Patient Experience is one of Southlake’s top priorities. As we strive to deliver cutting-edge care to all of our patients, we need to ensure that our physicians and clinical staff have the best tools and technology to care for you when you need it most, and the infrastructure in place to accommodate the growth and increased demands of our aging population.
