• Management involves setting goals and allocating scarce resources to achieve them.
• Management is the process of efficiently achieving the objectives of the organization through his key Managers & employees.
Goals of the Training and Development Function
• Activities in HRM concerned with assisting employees to develop up-to-date skills, knowledge, and abilities
• Orientation and socialization help employees to adapt
• Four phases of training and development– Employee training– Employee development– Organization development– Career growth in organization
Management Essentials
• Primary Functions of Management (Plant Level)– Planning – establishing goals– Organizing – determining what activities need to
be done i.e. Trainings & Development .– Leading – assuring the right people are on the job
and motivated– Controlling – monitoring activities to make sure
goals are met
Staffing Function Activities
• Employment planning– ensures that staffing will
contribute to the organization’s mission and strategy
• Job analysis– determining the specific
skills, knowledge and abilities needed to be successful in a particular job
– defining the essential functions of the job
Translating Functions into Training Practice
• Four Functions:-–Employment–Training and
development–Compensation/benefits–Employee relations
Job Analysis
• Job Analysis is a systematic exploration of the activities within a job.
• It defines and documents the duties, responsibilities and accountabilities of a job and the conditions under which a job is performed
What is training ?• The systematic development
of the knowledge, skills & attitudes required by an individual to perform adequately a given task or a job
• The act of increasing knowledge & skill of an employee for doing a particular job.
TRAINING METHODS
Training Need Identifications
Complete the Training Needs Identification Form
Define the Training Para meters
Planning the training & conduct ASAP
Include the Training in year training plan
Find more possibility of training for betterment .
