Tutu Central Helpful Hints & Sizing Suggestions

Costumes that fit properly look amazing! We are able to exchange in sizing in most instances, but there is a charge associated, so getting it right the first time makes everything easy! Here are some of the hints and tips our experience has taught us… Use our Sizing Kits Our sizing kits are the easiest way to choose sizes for your dancers. However we do suggest that as the teacher you check the sizes yourself as we find so often that parents want to order bigger sizes so their child can use the costume for years to come as a dress up! For costumes to look right, they have to fit right…now not in 3 years time! The same suggestions for fitting leotards can be applied here: The optimal amount if growth room is when the leotard stretches to the bottom of the ear. This allows a minimum of a few centimetres of growing room. If the leotard can stretch beyond the top of the ear, it is too big. Girty “Girth” This is the most important measure to use. Measure your dancers wearing only their leotard. Right on Size Make sure you don’t add on ‘room to grow’ when you write down your dancers measurements. Write down their true measurements as when you are looking at the size chart you will need a true indication of where each dancer fits. This way you can make a more accurate decision about which size to choose and if you might need to go up a size for a dancer

� For the most accurate measurements we suggest you measure your students while they are wearing a leotard for.

� When trying to decide which size to order, girth should be the most important measurement.

� Take into account that young children will grow throughout the year. � Our XLC and XXLC sizes are made to fit a larger child, not a petite adult.
