Focus: Reduce food security of 18,000 female-headed households and returnees

Village Savings and Loans in Malawi
• Members of self-selected groups save money to be a source of loan capital for members to borrow from 228 groups - 70% women
• Provide savings services in communities with no access to formal sector financial services
• Enables members start business ventures in order to build up financial capabilities
