Welcome Fellow Interns!

First of all, congratulations on making it this far! It probably wasn’t easy getting to this point- you cleared a rigorous screening round and a tough interview process- but what you should know is, it’s not going to get any easier from here.

Now, as someone who’s a part of this journey, there are some things you should know that’ll give you an idea of what’s expected from you.

Hustle: This is one of the most important values at UC. Here’s the thing, you can either spend days making sure your artwork, or your writing, or anything else is perfect, only to find out it’s not relevant any more. Or you can do the best in whatever time you have- just remember, done is better than perfect.

Basic: As someone who’s working in the chaotic environment of a startup for the first time, it’s easy to get distracted by all the problems, the functions, the parties, around you. What will help you get through this will be your ability to always stay grounded and focus on the basics- What is the problem you are solving? How are you going to solve it? What kind of help do you need? Then just go ahead and solve the problem!

Reimagine: There will be times when things don’t work out. Instead of focusing on passing the buck, take ownership of the problem, and think of how you could have done things differently. Always keep moving forward.

You may be with us for only a short time, or some of you may decide to join us later, when you graduate- whatever the case, we’re glad you decided to be a part of our growth. Of course, you’re also always welcome to give us your inputs over a cup of tea, or a game of foosball!

The UrbanClap Founding Team.

ABHIRAJ SINGH BHAL

He is responsible for operations and service provider on-boarding at UrbanClap. Prior to this, he was a consultant with The Boston Consulting Group, advising Fortune 500 companies across India, Germany and S.E. Asia. He holds a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur, and and MBA from IIM Ahmedabad.

VARUN KHAITAN

He is responsible for marketing and product growth at UrbanClap. Prior to this, Varun worked at The Boston Consulting Group where he advised leading comapnies across USA, Turkey and India on business strategy and at Qualcomm Inc. where he designed next generation mobile technology. He holds a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering at IIT Kanpur.

RAGHAV CHANDRA

He leads the technology and product development at UrbanClap. He has spent majority of the last decade in the Silicon Valley. He was a software engineer with Twitter in San Francisco after which he ran a autorickshaw ridesharing startup in India. Raghav holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
