    We have UGS offices in five locations in India Gurgaon, Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore andChennai. This, coupled with partner presence in over 50 towns and cities in India and Srilanka,a 200 plus strong team of sales and technical support personnel, ensures that our customersare always served efficiently.

    We address various industry segments, predominant amongst them being: Automotive, IndustrialMachinery, Aerospace, Consumer products and electronics, Defense R&D, Education and research,Engineering Services etc. Some of our large and prestigious customers in India include Tata Motors,M & M, Maruti, Bajaj Auto, Indian Railways, Escorts, Ashok Leyland, L&T, BHEL, LMW, HAL,Ordinance Factories, etc.

    Over 2000 customers use more than 12000 seats of our software across India; the largestmarket presence by far amongst various PLM software solutions providers.

    Some of the key milestones of our operations in India have been:

    India liaison office of SDRC opens in New Delhi in 1990 Converted to 100% wholly owned subsidiary in June 1998 PDM/CPC Competency Center established in Bangalore in January 1999 Product Development Center opened in Pune in March 1999 Operations as PLM Solutions LoB in EDS from Oct 2001 First to start support services for customers with a Hot Line facility in Feb 2002 and

    subsequently introduced 1-600 toll free number in May 2004 The company got registered as UGS India Private Limited effective from January 9, 2006

    Product Development Center:

    The Product development center at Hinjewadi, Pune was established March 1999. This center focuseson development of world-class PLM product suites like Teamcenter and NX., as an important armof our worldwide development organization.

    The Mission of PLM Competency Center is to Communicate , Demonstrate and Deliver successfulPLM solutions to our customers in Asia Pacific.

    The Competency center is involved in Niche consulting and best practices support for customers inAsia Pacific. The services offered are in the areas of Process Consulting, Solution Architecture,Design , Implementation and Performance tuning of Teamcenter suite.

    The Competency center is also responsible for Training and mentoring of partners towards asuccessful delivery. A proven PM 2 Methodology has been defined for successful delivery with toolslike GLORIA to support the BMS process in Asia. Partners and UGS ExperTeam Members are aligned

    and mentored in this delivery process. A Black belt certification program has been defined for ensuringgood quality in the delivery process.

    Since 2002, UGS has held the lead position in CIMdatas collaborative Product Definitionmanagement (cPDm) study of PLM market revenues. CIMdata also ranks UGS as the leaderin cPDm, both in terms of revenue and market presence, with direct revenues more thandouble the closest competitor. cPDM is considered the most critical and fastest growingsegment of the PLM industry.
