1. Functions.

When user successfully logs in to the system the welcome screen will show current ULD

stock according to UCM messages collected for flight departing from the station:

There are plenty of useful functions listed and explained below:

1.1 Inventory Search

This function allows checking all ULD details of current station stock using various filters.

By clicking the filtering options marked below system will show the list of ULDs with

requested parameters:

1.2 Inventory station totals

This function shows current station ULD stock. The “Balance” table shows the current ULDs

balance in comparison to target amount. By clicking the “Type” link, the list of selected ULDs

is displayed.

1.3 ULD Request

ULD Request contains two different functions: “Overview” and “Create new request”.

1.3.1 Overview

Overview function allows user to see the list of already sent requests:

1.3.2 Create new request

ULD Request option allows the user to create and send ULD requirement request. By

choosing this option system will give us two options: option 1 when there is an under-stock

in the station and option 2 when there is an under-stock:

By choosing option 1 (under-stock) system will generate a form to fill as below:

We can request for specific date, we want to containers be transferred to our station as well

as specific flight number. We can add the request recipients (ULD control address will be

predefined) and SI text. Than form the drop down menu a type of ULD has to be chosen and

quantity. By pressing the “+” we can add another line for another unit type. After filling the

form, “Send Request” button has to be pressed. The copy of the request is being sent to the

sender at the same time.

Option 2 is used similarly used in occasion when station is over-stocked and want to send

the empty units to HUB.

1.4 UCMs

This function shows all UCM messages sent from the station. By clicking the link in UCM

column for particular flight we are able to see a message. Parsing status column show the

status of the message (if “OK”, that means the message was successfully processed by the

system).

2. Administration

2.1 Station check list

This function replaces SCM message sent from station on weekly basis in the past. Every

week the person dedicated by each station will receive e-mail with Station Stock Check. This

e-mail will contain a list of ULD that according to the system should be located there. To

complete the station check please follow the steps below:

a) Look for the last Stock Check Message in the mailbox:

b) The e-mail will contain a link on the button (marked red).

Click the link down in the e-mail.

d) Log in with your user credentials

e) After logging in, user will be redirected to the system to confirm the stock. Check the

ULD list at your station (add if necessary) and submit by “Save and Send” button.

If container is present in the station this option shall be chosen for particular one. If any of

containers found damaged, this should be reported by clicking “Damaged”. Whenever it is

possible, the photo of damage shall be uploaded as well.

The screen below shows the view of stock check list when we click the tab in the system.

Each station manager can create new stock check by clicking the button marked red. This will

generate and send the e-mail shown above.

The list of done stock checks is visible as well. The searching tool of stock checks is available

in this tab.

2.2 My station

This administrational screen shows station details, including ULDs Targets and station e-mail

distribution list. User is able to change a “stock checker” here. Stock checker is a person that

will receive weekly e-mails with stock check.

2.3 Notification settings

Notification settings tab represents a set of pre-defined options of what kind of messages

shall be distributed to each user. Notification can be adjusted by user.

Those messages include:

Check reminder – reminder for ULD stock check if that is not done in a pre-set period of time (3h, 6h and 9 hours after the Stock Check Notification email shows up)

ULD check – ULD stock check completed

UCM error – UCM parsing error arises if any ULD from the UCM message doesn’t match with the ULDs in the inventory (UCM missing the device number, containing a fault one and also containing devices of other companies, e.g. Air France pallet)

Damaged ULD – ULD reported as damaged

In repair - ULD reported to be in repair

Missing ULD – ULD is automatically reported as missing if it’s movement hasn’t been detected for 3 moths

Lost ULD – status in being changed to lost in 3 months after reported as missing due to no movement

Under request – understock ULD request addressed to Helsinki with a wish for particular amount of devices

Over request – overstock ULD request – informed about particular type of ULD which is overstock

Free rqst – Freetext ULD request, where any message about ULD can be sent

Stck. Excs. – station stock excess

Hub notification – messages intended for HUB station (for Finnair HUB is Helsinki airport)

3. System tools

3.1 User administration

3.1.1 User list

This function is showing list of users for particular station with assigned level of access.

3.1.2 Add new user

Each station manager is allowed to add new users for the station. The station users have a

lower level of access, sort of “view only” rights. By clicking “Add new user” we receive a form

to fill and submit. After save clicking “save” button, new user is created.

3.2 My account

This tab is allowing user to add her/his photo and up/downgrade the level of system access.
