Our weekly tuition programs are designed to help students reach their full potential, be that a two grade improvement or the elite A and A+ scores.

These highly beneficial programs are the result of extensive collaboration with hundreds of teachers across the state, with each teacher adding their expertise to our courses and materials. This provides students with the opportunity to benefit from the advice and information being delivered in many top performing schools, preparing students to a standard that cannot be achieved by only attending school.

To ensure that students receive every possible advantage in their VCE, our tuition programs are prepared and delivered by qualified, experienced VCE teachers – including authors of VCE texts, writers and markers of VCAA examinations, as well as leading experts in their subject fields.

Two different tuition programs are available to help students reach their full potential:

� The Master Classes (Over 20 hours of subject specific instruction)

� The Exam Extension Classes (A further 17 hours of exam focused instruction)

TSFX. Helping Students Achieve Excellence.The Master ClassesThe Master Class program has been designed to prepare students for the highest possible marks in their SACs and exams. Just as importantly, this program enables students to complete as much of their exam preparations as early as possible, reducing stress levels and study loads in the challenging weeks leading up to the VCAA examinations. During the course of this program, students will:

� Revise and then extend on the materials taught at school in a simple, step-by-step manner.

� Strengthen problem-solving and application skills.

� Learn how to formulate solution processes that will enable students to successfully answer questions they have never been exposed to.

� Work through hundreds of examination-style questions and learn how to set out answers in accordance with the marking schemes used in the VCAA exams.

� Gain exposure to a wide variety of examination tricks and learn how to avoid potential sources of errors.

� Regularly revise difficult concepts, build on applications and systematically prepare for the challenging analysis-style questions.

Our English and EAL Master Classes are divided into three Areas of Study, each of which focuses on isolating and correcting problem areas, and developing the skills essential to crafting outstanding SAC and exam responses. Each of the classes will incorporate practical steps and critical advice, as well as authentic A+ examples to help students develop their analytical and writing skills. Students will be divided into separate groups so that they may receive instruction specific to their chosen Context.

Exam Extension Classes (Maths & Science)Intense Exam Preparation from a VCAA Marker’s Point of View

The Exam Extension Classes are designed to help students complete their exam preparations in a time-efficient and effective manner, and consists of 17 hours of specialised instruction over 3 weeks. This program also gives students the opportunity to benefit from valuable advice from VCAA exam markers, and to develop the knowledge and skills that will be required to secure every possible mark in the examinations. During the course of this program, students will:

� Revise examinable materials to VCAA examination standard.

� Extend on the more difficult components of each course.

� Master concepts that students find difficult and that have been poorly addressed in past exams.

� Work through applications that integrate multiple topics and that could not be covered in the Master Class course.

� Obtain extensive exposure to the tricks and traps that could appear in the exams.

� Refine examination techniques and correct theoretical misconceptions that result in the loss of valuable marks in the exams.

The majority of class time is spent working through examination-style questions, as well as the questions that are used to differentiate between the A/A+ and B grade scores.

To further maximise examination performance, students enrolled in the Exam Extension Classes will receive free admission into the corresponding subject revision lectures held at the University of Melbourne in May and June.

Unparalleled Course Notes Written to an A+ StandardEach student will receive a comprehensive and detailed set of A+ notes that include all examinable concepts, step-by-step instructions, exam watchouts, fully worked examples and questions to work through at home. As an example, students who attended our recent Unit 3 Mathematical Methods Master Classes received over 600 pages of notes and 700 examination-style questions! Our course materials are improved and extended upon on a yearly basis so that students receive the best possible notes and instruction that reflect the annual changes in examination marking and question trends. Furthermore, as our teachers review the major text books used by Victorian schools, students can be confident that our course materials incorporate the examinable concepts that may not be present in the texts being used at school.

Note: To date, NO OTHER education service provider has been able to match the quality and depth of materials that are issued to students who attend TSFX programs.

Bonus Classes & ResourcesStudents attending our Master Classes will receive an “Exam Kit” consisting of a large collection of commercially produced exam papers and solutions (not available in English & EAL). In addition, students will receive FREE entry into a variety of bonus classes designed to enhance SAC and exam marks. Further details will be provided on commencement of the Master Class course.

Course Features Exam Help ServiceOur Exam Help sessions enable students to receive one-on-one help with experienced tutors in the weeks leading up to the exams. This service is available to students in their enrolled subjects (excluding English & EAL).

An Examination ExperienceComplete a trial examination paper under examination conditions and then listen to experienced markers work through each question, reviewing critical theory and highlighting VCAA marking schemes. These examination papers are unique, and have been prepared exclusively for TSFX. (Not applicable for English & EAL.)

Different Class StylesOur Master Classes are available in both classroom and seminar style. The traditional classroom style is ideal for those students who prefer smaller class sizes and greater access to their teachers. Larger class sizes will be offered in seminar style, and enables students to complete the Master Class course in just 5 weeks, as opposed to the regular 10 week course.

Ability to Change Teachers and/or Class TimesWe understand there may be personality differences between teachers and students. We also believe there is little merit in attending tuition classes if you cannot benefit fully from the instruction provided. Therefore, if you cannot identify with your teacher after the first two sessions, we will change your class times and/or teachers.

Superior Examination PreparationEvery year, students discover that many of the questions they work through in our Master Classes are very similar to those that appear in the actual VCE exams! Our students receive a unique collection of questions that target skills and applications that are not available elsewhere. These questions are designed to teach students how to apply taught concepts to questions they have not seen before – which is exactly what happens in the VCE exams!

Additional Classes as RequiredOur classes are held at our own premises in Collins Street, Melbourne (CBD). This means that if students require more assistance, classes can easily be extended. If additional classes need to be scheduled, we have the facilities and flexibility to do so. Furthermore, if students find a topic difficult, they may attend repeat classes at no additional charge.

Classes are held outside of school hours in our Collins Street classrooms in the CBD. Students are advised to secure their enrolments as soon as possible, as only a limited number of places are available (many of the classes book out well before the closing date). Classes will be held between 4.30pm and 9pm on weekdays and between 9am and 6.30pm on weekends. Tuition FeesThere are two payment options available – a one off upfront payment or periodic payments over the duration of each course. Quoted fees include A+ notes, bonus classes and resources, exam help tutorials, trial exams and marking sessions and GST.
