Welcome Message

On behalf of the Asian Pacific Society of Respirology, it is my great pleasure to invite you to join us in Bali, Indonesia for the upcoming 19th Congress of the Asian Pacific Society of Respirology (APSR 2014). This occasion will be held on November 13th-16th, 2014 and it will a�ended by about 2,500 par�cipants from Asia Pacific and the region, comprise of researchers and clinicians in the field of respiratory medicine.

We are developing an a�rac�ve program with enhanced scien�fic and educa�onal sessions to explore the latest developments, medical advances, cu�ng edge treatments, and breakthroughs in the management of respiratory medicine. This congress will also provide opportuni�es for meaningful engagements between you and the industry partners, high prescribers, and other respiratory medicine professionals. (BNDCC) is only 20 minutes away by car from the Interna�onal

Airport and has an easy access to transport by a taxi.

Host Organiza�on - Indonesian Society of Respiratory

The official language of the Congress is English. No transla�on

will be provided except specified session

Invited Speakers - Dis�nguished speakers from American

Thoracic Society, European Respiratory Society, Japanese

Respiratory Society, America La�n Thoracic Society, American

College Chest Physician, and APSR.

Business Center - Located in ground floor. The services are at the

par�cipants' own expense.

All Scien�fic Room, Poster area and Exhibi�on are strictly limited

to registered par�cipants. The APRS ask delegates and faculty to

refrain from taking children to any scien�fic. Sessions, Poster

area and Exhibi�on area. NO BADGE NO ENTRY will applied.

FAPSR Center lounge. FAPSR Center Lounge is designed to

enhanced a professional networking and exchanging.

Scheduled Shu�le bus will be available for free for par�cipants

from designated hotel to Bali Nusa Dua Conven�on Center.

Useful Informa�on

Weather: average temperature in Bali in November ranges

between 25-33⁰C, humidity around 80%, with occasional

showers, but, in between skies should be blue and sunny.

Currency: Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) is the legal currency in Bali.

USD 1 is approximately equivalent to IDR 10,000 – 12,000

(fluctuate). Foreign currencies can be exchanged at the hotel,

banks, or money changer. Automated Teller Machine (ATM) is

available inside the Conven�on Center, or in the hotel, shopping

malls.

Time Zone: Indonesia has 3 �me zones. Bali is considered to be in

the central Indonesian Time Zone or GMT +8.

Electricity: 220V, 50Hz. Type C, F, G (2-pin) plugs in used in Bali.

Taxi: Taxi is available throughout hotel, shopping malls. Airport

taxi always has a fixed-rate to the hotel. Everywhere else, always

use a metered Taxi. Common Taxi companies in Bali are Blue Bird,

or airport taxi.

All par�cipants are responsible for their own expenses during

their stay in Bali.
