Atom Red has adopted a seniors
home for the season, and challenges
you to adopt one too. It's simple,
easy and free. 13 players and 3 dogs
visited a local seniors home recently
to chat and play board games. Call a
seniors home, plan 2 visits this
season, and invite them to your
games. Each home has an Activity
Coordinator and van to transport
able and interested seniors. Want to
bring your furry friend? Some
retirement homes welcome social
and calm dogs (pet therapy). Be sure
to ask first, as some seniors homes
don't allow outside pets. No pics!
Homes will want to remain
anonymous as some seniors can't
sign publicity releases. Are you in?

Memorial Select Tournament
beating the Vaughn Rangers
Red Team 4-0. This is the 4th
time the Meadowvale 98
Hawks have won this
tournament. Congratulations

undefeated! Winning gold
at the Mooretown Tri-County
Tournament, this team of 8 yr
olds posted three shutouts in 5
games and emerged as
Champions at the end of the
three day tournament with a
final score of 7-2 against the
Port Stanley Jr. Sailors last
weekend. They were the talk
of Mooretown for the entire
tournament! Congrats to

Today in history: Nov. 26, 1917:
The National Hockey League was
founded. The original teams were
the Montreal Canadiens,
Montreal Wanderers, Ottawa
Senators, Toronto Arenas and
Quebec Bulldogs (which
announced that they would not
operate during the inaugural
season). The same day, Canadiens
obtained rights to forward Louis
Berlinquette after the NHA
folded.
Female Meadowvale hockey
player is an aspiring soccer star!
From the ice to the field, Trinity Wambolt
always gives her best. Thirteen year old
Trinity has been invited to a Philippine
women's national team training camp in
Corona, California. As a valued member of
Team 084 - Minor Bantam Blue, her team
and Meadowvale Hockey wishes her
success in following her soccer dreams!

FREE January Steelheads Tickets
The Mississauga Steelheads and Meadowvale are teaming up to
“Shutout Hunger!” During each Steelheads game during the month of
December, fans that donate a non-perishable item at the Hershey
Centre will receive a free ticket to a game of their choosing in January.
All MHL associations will be competing to see who can raise the most
food for the Mississauga Food Bank. In addition to helping the
Mississauga community, the winning organization will have the
opportunity to host a practice with Steelheads players and coaches.
