Upgrade step by step

2. Before upgrade the software inside the box, it’s better to check the version in main menu first:press MENU button to enter main menu, then press INFO button to display the software and hardware and date information. You can check it again after the upgrade finishedsuccessfully. See Figure 4.

3. Press LEFT or RIGHT button to select the SETUP option in main menu and UP or DOWNbutton to select SW Update item (if this item invisible as Figure 5, you can press the backdoor password ‘5’,’5’,’9’,’5’ in the SETUP menu to invoke it as Figure 4), then press OKbutton to enter SETUP – SW Update menu. See Figure 6.

Copy the provided *.ssu (for example, DVBT002.ssu) upgrade file to the root directory of the USB disk and then insert the USB to the USB port of the box, you should see USB indicator flashing while reading.

Press OK button to enter SETUP - Update by USB menu, and UP / DOWN / LEFT / RIGHT button to change folder and focus to the update file (for example, DVBT002.ssu), press OK button to start update. See Figure 7.

5. Press OK button again to confirm the update, See Figure 8.

6. Don’t shut down the power during update. After upgrade finished the system will restart itself and jump to the SETUP – Installation menu.

Note: 1. The update file must have *.ssu postfix, otherwise it can’t be recognised. 2. The whole upgrade process will last for about 20 seconds, Don’t shut down the power during

update, otherwise it will destroy the box. 3. The USB upgrade will clear the user setting and erase the channel list database also. 4. It’s strongly recommended to turn off and on the box after the box restarted itself if you

connected it to a HDMI TV to avoid the box has no HDMI output after restart sometimes.
