Uploading Documents to Blackboard

To upload a syllabus, or other important documents, into your Blackboard course, first, login into Blackboard and

enter the course.

1. The first page you will see is the Announcement page. To upload your documents, click on Course Content to

the left of your screen.

2. You will be brought to the Course Content page. Click on Build Content to begin:

3. A drop down menu will appear. Click on the first option Create Item.

4. The Create Item page will open. Enter a

name for your document and optionally, a brief

description. To attach your document, click on

Browse My Computer and locate where the

item is saved on your local computer, click on

the document and select Open.

5. Confirm the name of your file is correct and select Submit.

6. A green bar will appear across the top of your screen to confirm that the document was successfully uploaded.

7. Your students can now access the document.
