This program provides students with the knowledge and skills required to excel in the ever-expanding communication industries. The program is designed to enhance the skills of existing communication graduates and professionals. Courses are designed to increase understanding of the application of communication theory and research to health promotion, business, public relations, policy and politics, intercultural relations and globalisation. Students develop knowledge of communication dynamics, as well as practical professional skills.

MASTER OF COMMUNICATION UQ’s postgraduate programs in communication will provide you with cutting-edge knowledge and skills which will empower you to become a global communicator.

This suite of programs is designed to enhance the communication capacity of professionals for application in a wide range of fields.

You will specialise in one of the following areas: Communication for Social Change, Science Communication or Public Relations and Professional Communication.

As a Master of Communication student you will undertake a research component in your program as well as practical projects in your courses. Some programs offer internships with industry and community organisations.
