forming the SCOE at Fort Lee.
Combined Service Support Group created as one of twosubordinate elements of the Combat Developments Group (CDC) andactivated at Fort Lee. Designed to integrate under CDC the log and admin
support functions. Each branch school maintained their own separatedepartments of combat developments and doctrinal expertise.
TRADOC created. Three major subordinate commandscreated: the Combined Arms Center (CAC), the Logistics Center
(LOGCEN) and the Administrative Center. Materiel developmentis now a joint effort. TRADOC is the primary combat developerand AMC as primary materiel developer. LOGCEN located atFort Lee.

MissionThe Deputy Commander for Training (DCT) has oversight of the analysis,design, development, and integration of effective and relevant sustainmentunit, individual (IMT and PME), and life-long learning products to support thecurrent and future force with well trained units, warriors, andadaptive/innovative leaders.
