• All MOUs should incorporate USDA PI Project Plans

Plans clarify USDA responsibilities in supporting these efforts

October 31st deadline for getting Managing Partners to “sign off” on USDA Project Plans

USDA does not intend to enter into MOUs that are not based on these plans

OMB set an October 29th deadline for signed MOUs with all participating departments

• eGovernment Act of 2002 regulations published

Congressional mandate that Department must report to OMB on progress by December 15, 2003. Additional guidance is forthcoming.

Report has broad scope, including both USDA and Presidential Initiatives.

Requires eGovernment Performance Measures linked to Annual Performance Plans and Strategic Plans.

USDA PI Leads will need to provide guidance and information to help complete this report.

Next Steps

• Finalize MOUs to include Project Plans. Concurrence between PI Lead, Managing Partner, and eGovernment Executive.

• Prepare for November 12 EGWG briefing—please RSVP for the meeting and provide comments on presentation to eGovernment Team.

• eGovernment Team will be contacting each of you to go over your Project Plan and assist with any updates.

• FY ’04 and ’05 PI Funding update -- updating ’05 with ’04 FTEs and D/M/E numbers which are just being finalized; ’04 pending with OCFO.
