ESA Desktop Program
• New installation coming– Back on track
• ArcGIS installation not required– Primary purpose is to get to GOMsmart
without needing to remember the password

• Two directions:
• Derivative data – Paleo surfaces (similar to pore pressure)– Normalized bidding maps
• Internal maintenance, rather than full BOEM reloads– Situations where geographic data from
BOEM doesn’t keep up (leases, units)

• Data Creation– Processes to flag new data for
investigation– Long-term plans would include ability to
define area-of-interest for alerts• Probably based on designated blocks• Possibly limited to status changes or similar
values

• Geodatabase / Update Process– Modifications in progress– Plan is still Windows services to update
