What to do if things go wrong.

People sometimes make mistakes!

Most mistakes are made at the start

And then some during play

We will look at some of these next.

13

Copyright Keith Butler 2014

If things go wrong!

1. Player with no number

2. Wrong player number entered

3. You have to change the movement

4. Wrong table number

5. Boards numbers are wrong for the table

6. Can’t read the display on the Bridgemate

Starting up

If things go wrong!

If things go wrong!

If in doubt

Use Travellers!

1: Player with no number.

North should enter 0 (zero) for every player with no number

Enter the name via the Bridgemate Control Program

Double click on Name to change it

15

2: Wrong player number entered.

Change the number via the Bridgemate Control Program

Double click on Number to change it

If things go wrong!

3: Change the Movement.

Any change is usually early/middle of 1st

round, (late pairs are usually 5mins rather

than 20mins late), so in that case it’s really

better to just overwrite the current

movement and get the players to type in their early scores again. You dont need to

restart BCS, it’s just a matter of the BMs will

request initial results again

For any other reason use Travellers!

If things go wrong!

4: Wrong Table No.

As Bridgemates are pre numbered, the Bridgemate

is just on the wrong table!

Copyright Keith Butler 2014

If things go wrong!

5: Boards shown are incorrect.

Either the Bridgemate is on the incorrect table

Or the Movement is incorrect

See 3: Change the Movement.
