Ministry of Agriculture, Food, Fisheries
and Water Resource Management
Tender for the Collection, Transportation and Disposal
of Animal and Fish Waste for the period
April 1, 2013 until March 31, 2016
Tenders are invited for the collection, transportation and disposal of animal and fi sh
waste from the Six Roads Slaughterhouse, Berinda Cox, Bridgetown, Weston, Paynes Bay,
Speightstown Fish Markets.
2. The Form of Tender and Schedule of the Works to be undertaken and further details
may be obtained from the offi ce of Markets Division, Ministry of Agriculture, Food,
Fisheries and Water Resource Management, Graeme Hall, Christ Church, Monday to Friday
between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
3. Tenderers are invited to visit the site to ascertain the extent of the works to be carried
out. A site visit can be arranged by contacting the Stenographer-Typist of the Ministry
of Agriculture, Food, Fisheries and Water Resource Management, Telephone
number 434-5000 Ext. 5033 or 5034.
4. The successful Tenderer will be required to enter into a contract in a form approved
by the Solicitor General or another Legal Offi cer in the Public Service nominated by
her and must provide surety for the performance of the contract by one of the following
methods:-
(a) by way of a deposit with the Treasury of a sum of money or approved
securities to the value of not less than 10 per cent of the contract
price; or
(b) by way of a bank or an accredited Insurance Company whose liability shall
not be less than 10 per cent of the contract price. The cost of obtaining
such a surety shall be the responsibility of the Tenderer who need not
specifi cally make arrangements for sureties unless and until his tender
has been accepted; or
(c) by way of satisfactory personal sureties.
5. TENDERERS SHOULD BE AWARE THAT THE LABOUR CLAUSES (PUBLIC
CONTRACTS) ACT, CAP. 349 SHALL IN SO FAR AS IS APPLICABLE TO THE
TENDER APPLY TO ANY CONTRACT MADE IN RESPECT OF THE TENDER.
FULL DETAILS OF THE CONDITIONS OF THE ACT, CAP. 349 MAY BE OBTAINED
FROM THE CHIEF LABOUR OFFICER, LABOUR DEPARTMENT, 2ND FLOOR,
WARRENS OFFICE COMPLEX, WARRENS, ST. MICHAEL. TENDERERS SHOULD
SUBMIT THE CERTIFICATE REQUIRED BY PARAGRAPH 3 OF THE SCHEDULE
TO THE ACT WITH THEIR TENDER.

6. All Corporate Tenderers must include with their tender a copy of the Company’s
Certifi cate of Incorporation as evidence of the fact that the Company is an existing
registered Company as at the date of tender. The Certifi cate must be in the name of the
Tenderer. FAILURE TO PROVIDE THE CERTIFICATE OF INCORPORATION WILL
RENDER THE TENDER VOID.
7. Local Tenderers are advised that the Certif icate of Incorporation referred to at
paragraph 6 above means a Certif icate of Incorporation issued under the 1985 Companies
Act of Barbados or where applicable a Certif icate of Continuance and/or a
Certif icate of Amalgamation or a Certif icate of Amendment. Certif icates must be dated
after December 31, 1984.
8. Completed Forms of Tender must be placed in a sealed envelope marked “TENDER
FOR THE COLLECTION, TRANSPORTATION AND DISPOSAL OF ANIMAL AND
FISH WASTE” and addressed to the Chairman, Tenders Committee, Central Purchasing
Department, Holborn Circle, Fontabelle, St. Michael, to reach her no later than
4:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 27, 2013. Tenders received after this time and date will
not be considered. Tenders should be placed in the Tenders Box located at the Central
Purchasing Department.
9. No Tender will be considered unless it complies with the conditions set out in this
Notice.
10. The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any Tender.

TAKE NOTICE JAMES HUNTE, ROBERT HUNTE both of #50 Cambridge Place, Brooklyn, New York, USA and STEVEN HUNTE of 1720 Glyn Wood Drive, Charlotte, North Carolina, USA have applied to the High Court for a declaration of ownership and a Certifi cate of the title in respect of the land described above.
Any person having any adverse claim, lien or charge against the said land should submit the claim duly authenticated on oath to the Registrar of the Supreme Court, Bridgetown, on or before the 21st day of March, 2013.
Any other person who has any information relating to the ownership of the said land is invited to submit that information in writing to the Registrar of the Supreme Court, Whitepark Road, Bridgetown, on or before the 21st day of March, 2013.
