Pre-AssessmentPre-Assessment is a test given after we completed a chapter and before we start a new chapter.

It is a measurement of how much information you already know before I teach.

Basic Measurements*

Distance is measured in meters.

Mass is measured in grams.

Basic Measurements*Volume is measured in

centimeters cubed (cm3) or milliliters (mL).

Density is measured in grams

per milliliter.

Basic Measurement Prefixes*

Kilo = 1000Deci = 1/10th or 0.1Centi = 1/100th or 0.01Milli = 1/1000th or 0.001

Basic Measurement Equations*

Area (A) = Length x Width

Volume (V) = L x W x Height

Density (p) = Mass/Volume
