Nuclear Weapons• Nuclear war is a very serious threat to this world today.• I mean look at North Korea threatening the US and South Korea for

weeks now.• I’m sure we have ways of stopping them but what if this is just the

beginning?

• An atomic bomb works buy breaking down a single atomic nuclei. • Which is why uranium and plutonium is the most used element for

this, they are extremely heavy element and the heavier it is the bigger the boom!

• This video might give you a better understanding of how nuclear weapons work.

Effects of Nuclear Weapons• The place that the nuclear bomb hits would be into the millions of degrees

and the blast wave that comes from it is in the hundreds of miles an hour throwing shrapnel everywhere.

• Although affective the explosion is not the main killer of a nuclear bomb. The radiation is what makes it such a deadly weapon.

• The only way we can get an idea of how the radiation works is by looking at past events such as Hiroshima and Chernobyl.

• Chernobyl happened because a Nuclear plant melted down and exploded. This happened in 1986 and is still unpopulated to this day. People were dying weeks after the meltdown and children of the people suffered horrible deformities.

Anything in Zone 1 is dead.Zones 2 and 3 have very sever damage and possible fatalities.

Zones 4 and 5 will suffer from radiation poisoning.

Pollution• The main things that cause pollution are Carbon Dioxide, Methane, Nitrous Oxide, and

Fluorinate Gasses.

• Carbon Dioxide – makes up 85% of the harmful greenhouse gasses. Carbon Dioxide mostly comes from making energy like burning coal, oils, and natural gasses.

• Methane – most effective gas for trapping heat. Methane gas mostly comes from Coal mining, landfills, natural gasses, and petroleum products.

• Nitrous Oxide – mostly in solid waist but can be released. Comes from human sewage, live stock manure, and adipic acid production.

• Fluorinate Gasses – are a mixture of man made gasses These gasses can be made from any number of things such as refrigeration and air conditioning.

Effects of Pollution• Water Pollution–Water Pollution can destroy anything that lives in the water. Fish will die in water which will ruin the fishing industries. Some towns or cities are based on exporting fish. This can absolutely kill their economy so people will have to move and more and more places will become crowded. This could lead to more and more pollution. The pollution could cause everyone in and around the water to become extremely ill.

• Air Pollution–Air Pollution not only hurts our atmosphere but also hurts our physical health. Inhaling these dangerous pollutants can cause many diseases. It can cause heart and lug diseases such as asthma and heart failure.

Technology Failure

There are things we use every day that has made our world so much easier. Could you imagine if one day it all just stopped working? Chaos would erupt world wide and we would take it out on ourselves.
