DESCRIPTION
At 8320sq kilometres, the Tiwi Islands located 80km northwest of Darwin are made up of Bathurst and Melville Islands. The latter is a remote island comprising of rainforest, sandy beach and waterholes accessible by ferry or light aircraft and is known for its art, culture and love of AFL football. Artitja Fine Art warmly welcome the artists of the Munupi Art Centre from Melville Island for their third exhibition with us since 2011, and we are delighted to once again be bringing you two wonderful Tiwi women Francesca (Nellie) Puruntatameri and Susan Wanji Wanji who also have indicated their joy to meet, and see, you again.
