Weekday Masses are 9:00 a.m. A ticket from
Eventbrite is NOT required. These days will be on a
first come, first serve basis.
Our Sunday Mass Schedule is:
Saturday 5pm, Sunday 8:30am; 9:45am; 11:00am;
12:15pm. To attend any of weekend Masses, you need

Mass for the date and time you selected, please go
back into Eventbrite and cancel your ticket. This
will allow others to attend the Mass.
You are required under the Durham Region By-law
and Cardinal Collins to wear a facemask inside the
church building. If you are ill, we ask that you stay
home. Please arrive early, as there will be
designated pews for you and/or families to be seated
by an Usher. As you leave, there will be an offertory
donation box by the Baptismal Font into which you
may place your donations.
We thank parishioners for giving to the ShareLife appeal
thus far. If you were unable to give or would like to donate
more to the ShareLife appeal, please use a designated
envelope and placed in our offertory boxes at any time. You
may also donate to the ShareLife appeal by credit card by
going online at www.sharelife.org There will be another
major collection for ShareLife on 8 November. Our goal
for the ShareLife campaign is $84,800. To date, we have
collected $44, 562
Calling all students Gr 6 – 8! You are invited to join us for
an all virtual Edge this year, starting on Oct 30th. The
theme for this year is “Trust”. Trusting in God and having
faith to know that he will always be there for you, no matter
what situations we face. Edge nights will run on Zoom on
the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month. Registration for this
semester is from October to mid-February and only costs
$15 (this covers the cost to run the program and if you
register again for semester 2, a t-shirt will be included).

Are you a student from Gr 9-12? Do you have questions
about your faith? I would like to invite you to our all virtual
Life Teen nights, starting Saturday, November 7th. This
year’s theme is ‘Reconnect’. We take a look at the
foundations of our faith and Reconnect with God, our Lord
Jesus and why our Catholic faith should be important to us.
Registration will be per semester, from November to mid-
February. Life Teen nights are only on the 1st and 3rd
Saturdays of the month. There is no fee and all you have to
do is register online, right here

We are so happy to be able to continue with our
2019/2020 First Communions. Please see the email that
Mrs. Selda sent regarding the rehearsal dates and First
Communion dates and times. In order to keep everyone
safe, we have been required to split our larger schools in
half and have a restriction on the number of guests in
order to maintain social distancing. Tickets for the First
Communion Masses will be given at the rehearsal.
Saturday 24 October 10am – St. Jude
Saturday 31 October 10am – St. Catherine of Sienna
Saturday 7 November 10am – Group A St. Patrick
Saturday 7 November 1pm – Group B St. Patrick
Please remember to bring your child’s First Communion
preparation books to the rehearsal, and look for the
videos from Mrs. Selda and Fr. David that will be sent
by email to compliment what the children are learning
from their preparation books. We look forward to seeing
all the children and celebrating these special sacraments
together.
Here are the dates for our Confirmation which should
have taken place in April 2020.

To assist you on how the confirmation evening will
proceed, we ask that you see the video that will be
provided for you.

ONLINE DONATIONS Dear parishioners,
If you are not able to attend, but still wish to donate, here
are the ways in which you can continue to support our
parish at this time:
Mail your regular weekly offertory contribution to the
parish or drop off to the parish mailbox by the office
door, or drop off in the donations box at Mass.
Online donations can be made at
www.archtoronto.org. Simply click on the donate
now icon, select St. Francis de Sales parish from the
drop down menu and the fund you wish to donate to.
This can be done as a onetime donation or as an
ongoing monthly donation. It will give you a place to
choose that option.
Contribute through pre-authorized giving. You can
obtain a form from the parish website. Mail the
completed form and a voided cheque to your parish
office. Or e-mail the form and a scanned copy or
photo of a voided cheque to
[email protected] for processing.
Contributions are withdrawn from your bank account
on the 20th of each month.
Thank you for your many contributions to our parish
community.
SAINT VINCENT DE PAUL
CHRISTMAS OUTREACH
Due to the pandemic, there will be no angel tree in the
foyer this year, and there will be no gifts delivered to our
neighbours-in-need. However, families still need our
help and we are going to do our best to help make
Christmas special for them. We will be helping about 80
families.
This year we will only give gift cards and the families will
do their own shopping.
If you are able to help, please deposit your gift card in one
of the two St. Vincent de Paul poor boxes at the church
entrance. Any amount will be helpful and from any store
where you would shop for your own family. We will
make sure that every family has a card for groceries and
cards to purchase toys, clothes, and diapers for their
children. Please indicate the amount on the card if it is
not already indicated.
We ask that you donate your cards by the
deadline Sunday, November 15. This will give enable
us to sort things out and get the cards to the families by
the end of November so they can do their own shopping. Thank you for your ongoing support and generosity
throughout the year. God bless you and keep you safe.
