The official journals of the society are the Journal of the Korean Society of Radiology (JKSR) and Korean Journal of Radiology (KJR). The Journal of the Korean Society of Radiology is a Korean journal with English abstracts. The Korean Journal of Radiology is an English journal which is currently indexed/tracked/covered in MEDLINE, PubMed, PubMed Central, Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), KoreaMed, Synapse, KoMCI, SCOPUS, Embase, and Google Scholar. The journal aims to produce and propagate knowledge on radiologic imaging and related sciences. The impact factor of the KJR in 2018 was 3,730.

The inaugural issue of the KJR was published in March 2000. A unique feature of the articles published in the journal is their reflection of global trends in radiology combined with an East-Asian perspective. Geographic differences in disease prevalence are reflected in the contents of the papers, which serve to enrich our body of knowledge. World-leading radiologists from many countries are serving on the editorial board of our journal. The KJR now has an electronic submission and review system. Currently, the KJR is published monthly. Since the year 2002, the full content of the journal can be accessed online on the KJR website.

KSR Fellowship Program

Deadline for KSR Fellowship Application: August 31 of the preceding year

The objectives of the fellowship are to promote research by specialists in radiology and to train them in Korean academic institutions. The fellowship also aims to contribute to the distribution and improvement of radiology, encouraging mutual understanding as well as scientific cooperation.

Objectives

(1) The term for clinical training and/or research shall be at least 1 month and at most 3 months in principle.(2) The period of clinical training and/or research shall not be altered in principle.(3) The recipients must start the training in their applicable year.(4) The due date for the application is August 30th of the year preceding the followship. Applicants will be given an official notification in October from KSR.

Term and Period of Clinical Training and/or Research

(1) Age: Recipients may be up to 40 years of age.(2) Career: Recipients must be specialists with sufficient training and experience in radiology who have graduated

from a medical college.(3) Language: Recipients must be fluent in English or Korean to be able to complete the clinical training and/

or research.

Eligibility

(1) KSR sponsors visiting fellows in Korea. (2) The grant includes air-fare and minimum cost of living. (3) The maximum limit of the grant per recipient will be KRW 5,500,000. (4) The maximum limit of monthly support will be KRW 1,500,000. (5) The maximum limit for economy-class airfare reimbursement will be KRW 1,000,000.(6) If the recipient receives other financial support during his/her stay in Korea, KSR will stop the grant,

and the responsibility for the recipient will be transferred to the new supporter.
