speaker, Andrea, from the fisheries division will talk about the Sea Lamprey, and have a live one to
show!

Join me as we learn which plants are invasive in Michigan and hike in
search of some!
Tree Killers

pavilion* Ever wonder why so many
trees have been dying? Come along to find out and make a craft to take home!
Damsels vs. Dragons 1:00pm
*meet at the beach pavilion* Come and join me as we learn
the difference between dragonflies and damselflies and
try to catch some!
Pond Life 3:00pm
*meet at the lighthouse* Come along as we learn how
important ponds are and observe the pond life in action!
Hook, Line, & Sinker 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Let’s go fishing! Poles and bait provided. Meet at the pond to the left of the pavilion to learn how to bait, hook, and release
your fish! Under 17 do not need a fishing license. Thanks to Bay Party Store for donating bait!
Monarch Marathon 11:00am
*meet at beach pavilion* Come along and test your
knowledge about the monarch butterfly and butterflies in
general. We will even try to catch a few!
Flying Mammals 2:00pm
*meet at the beach pavilion* There is only one mammal that can fly! Can you guess what it
is?
“Night Crawlers” 4:00pm
*meet at the pavilion* Join Explorer Guide Katie to
learn about the mammals of the night and pet their furs!

bugs that create elastic that is stronger than steel,
followed by a craft!
Survival Skills 11:00am
*meet at the lighthouse* Wear comfy shoes and
hike with Explorer Guide Katie to learn how to build
a shelter and tips on how to start a fire!
Sly Foxes
4:00pm *meet at the pavilion* Are they dogs or cats or neither? Come along to
find out what exactly a fox is along with activities and
a full fox skin!
Breakfast with Bears 1:00pm
*meet at the pavilion* For being such large animals, they sure do eat small things!
Learn all about black bears, and make your own to
take home!
Fishin’ Friday 3:00pm
*meet at the pavilion* Join me in learning about fish anatomy along with a race of
who knows their fish and how to rig up your pole!
