DUNGAY PUBLIC SCHOOL
PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
It was lovely to see all students refreshed and ready to learn last week. All classes were settled and having fun. There is currently a lot of infrastructural work going on around the school. The painting is halfway through completion and the colour scheme chosen by community and staff is looking sharp. We also have temporary fencing around the school as we are getting a new black fence at the front of the school and a chain wire fence around the eastern and southern boundaries of the school. Hopefully all
the structural work will be complete by week 5.
THIS WEEK’S BEHAVIOUR TARGET: I can be organised and responsible in all areas
Each week Dungy PS will focus on a behaviour target to help our students to be the best they can be.
This week’s target focuses on students being organised and responsible.
KINDERGARTEN ORIENTATION Tuesday 22 October, 9.15am-11am

P&C MEETING Tuesday 22 October, 6pm
You are invited to our second last P&C meeting for 2019, this Tuesday night from 6pm. On the agenda we will be discussing term 4 activities and events. We welcome any new parents to join us.
Refreshments and nibbles will be provided.
PLAY GROUP This Tuesday 9.30am
At Dungay PS we are privileged to have a playgroup that runs every Tuesday. Our playgroup provides a lot of hands on, fine motor and imaginary play for children to thrive and be ready for future school. Our school’s playgroup uses our natural environment to create a safe and calming space for all. Please don’t hesitate to contact our school
if you would like your child to be part of our school playgroup.
DAILY EXERCISE AND SKILLS Every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday Dungay PS students will be involved in 15-20 minutes of physical exercise and ball skills practice. This is designed to help our students to healthy and strong, so they can be switched on for their class school work and life
challenges.

Richmond Birdwing Butterfly Project
Hello dear parents and caregivers.
My names is Dylan Allsop, I have an important announcement to make that the ESSM will
be doing a planting day in week 5 to help the Richmond Birdwing butterfly, and you’re invit-
ed. It will be a fun day for every parent to come and help plant some plants with their child.
We will be planting only native species so we can help this butterfly thrive.
Thank you.
