MASS FOR LIFE 2015 - All parishioners, priests, deacons, schools and visitors are welcome. Each year, the Diocese of Monterey, in solidarity with dioceses all over the United States, celebrates a Mass on the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade. This year in addition to praying for an end to abortion, we will also be praying for a new beginning to our efforts to develop the Culture of Life in our Diocese and world. The Pro-Cathedral Church, Madonna del Sasso will once again be our host for the Celebration, 320 Laurel Dr., Salinas on Thursday, January 22nd. The Mass, which will be bi-lingual, will be at 7 pm. Most Reverend Bishop Richard García will be the homilist. The Diocesan choir will provide a worship aid to help us sing our prayers with their beautiful music. The Madonna del Sasso Parish Respect Life Group will provide refreshments for those who attend. This Mass, while a commemoration of the sad day of Roe vs. Wade, is primarily an opportunity to pray for an end to all the many ways in which a culture of death is promoted in our area and the world, and to look at ways we can grow in compassion, understanding and willingness to help bring about change in our world. THE 2015 ANNUAL MINISTRIES APPEAL (AMA) KICK-OFF: For our parish will be the weekend of February 14–15. Over the next few weeks you’ll be hearing more about how the ministries of the Diocese serve all of us. The theme of the AMA this year is “Deepening the Faith, Together in Service.” Please be prayerfully thinking about how you will respond to this call to carry on Christ’s work in our Church and community.

SAINT VINCENT DE PAUL FOOD PANTRY—Fellow parishioners: We are in need of your help to feed our many families. There has been an increase of those in need of our help at this time of year. PASTORAL COUNCIL SURVEY - On January 24th and 25th, the Pastoral Council will be conducting a brief survey. We ask you to please prayerfully consider the following two questions prior to the survey weekend: 1) What issues regarding the church would you like to see addressed? 2) If you were to prioritize money expenditures for the next five years, which areas would you allocate money? Our intention is not to solve every problem, but as your representatives to Father Ignacio, we request your input to get an idea of your concerns. After each Mass you are in invited to join the council members for refreshments in the Parish Hall.
El 24 y 25 de enero, el Consejo Pastoral estará llevando a cabo una breve encuesta. Le pedimos que por favor consideren en oración las siguientes dos preguntas anteriores a la encuesta del fin de semana: 1) ¿Qué cuestiones relativas a la Iglesia le gustaría que se trataran? 2) Si compromete su dinero para los próximos cinco años, a que áreas asignaría el dinero? SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION: (Bilingual Confessions): Friday: 11:30-12:00 pm and 6:00 pm -7:30 pm.
BAPTISM (Children): Please come to the Parish Office (with a copy of your child’s birth certificate) to receive information about preparation and scheduling.
MARRIAGE: Preparation should begin at least 6 months in advance. Please call the Parish Office during office hours for an appointment with the priest.
SACRAMENT OF THE SICK: First Wednesday of each month at 12:15 pm, or by appointment.
HOSPITALIZED/HOMEBOUND: Please notify the Parish Office if you would like Holy Communion.
