To whom it may concern,
Grace Lutheran School’s PTF (Parent Teacher and Friends) will be hosting the 2nd Annual Key West ‘minster’ Dog Show. The PTF is the schools fundraising group. We are looking for spon-sors to help support this great event. Last year the event did so well that this year the Key West‘minster’ Dog Show will take place at The Little White House. The event will be held on Febru-ary 13th 2016 at 11am (same day as The Westminster Kennel Club 140th Annual Dog Show).
Your sponsorship will help out our event by providing us the ability to give out trophies, door prizes, rent specific equipment for our show, have an assortment of silent auction items, and pro-vide food and drink. Portions of our proceeds will benefit the Monroe County Sherriff’s Office Animal Farm. “The Monroe County Sheriff's Office Animal Farm is home to over 250 animals. They provide a haven for animals which have been abandoned, abused, confiscated or donated.”
Monetary sponsorship or item donations are greatly appreciated. If you choose to support the 2nd annual Key West ‘minster’ Dog Show, please make checks payable to Grace Lutheran School PTF. For silent auction items, a member from the PTF will happily pick up the item at your conven-ience. Please return sponsor form attached, and money and/or item no later than February 1, 2016. HUMAN-POWERED ART SCULPTURES ARE COMING!
WHO WAS STANLEY PAPIO ?
Papio's Kinetic Sculpture Parade debuts in Downtown Key West in May 2016. The Key West Art & Historical Society presents this family-friendly, art-inspired, human-powered, float parade through the streets of Key West. Bicycles donning creative, funky and wild designs will be crafted by people of all ages. The premier of this annual event starts at the Custom House Museum and winds its way down historic Duval Street. The art machines will be on display all month at the Fort East Martello Museum. A celebration and concert follows on parade night.
If you drove through Key Largo during the 1970s, you would have passed by the 'junkyard' of metalworks art-ist Stanley Papio. He was described as, 'a gadfly among moths, an artist unloved in a community of art-ists, a true individual, as inflexible as cast iron and as hard to weld.' Read more at:
Papio Kinetic Sculpture Parade
