WHAT IS TREE ADVENTURE?

Hidden in the trees at the edge of Lean-achan Forest, Tree Adventure is a series of aerial obstacle courses designed to provide the ultimate forest adventure to thrill seek-ers of all ages and abilities. Swing through the trees, balance on the bridges, climb to new heights and swoop back to the ground with fun features and obstacles on each of the 4 courses. Tree Adventure is an excel-lent day out for the whole family!

“Our family of 5 with 3 boys ages 12, 9 and 8 had a great time on the course. It starts on the easy setting and works up to the big one in the woods. They are very safety conscious and are very thorough. My wife is scared of heights, and despite some

challenging moments, she was able to complete it. The treetop course feels like you are in a scene of Star Wars! Have fun!”

Whether you’re an Extreme Downhill mountain biker or a complete beginner, Nevis Range has the trails for you. The network of trails around Nevis Range known as “The Witch’s Trails” incorporates family friendly Blue graded trails to the famous Orange Fort William World Cup Track & Black graded Top Chief. Start your descent from soaring heights of 650m via our Mountain Gondola and test yourself on some of the longest tracks in the UK! Check out our Trail Map online or pick one up on site at our ticket office! Our MTB uplift runs from April – October and is open daily, weather permitting. Tracks may also be shut for events & maintenance so be sure to check before head-ing up.

a Mountain Bike lover’s dream! With many of the major mountain bike man-ufacturers and brands exhibiting it’s definitely the place to grab yourself the latest kit! There is also a Food & Drink tent set up behind the Grand Stand where you can sample some delights from the famous Aonach Mor Burger to freshly made Woodburn Pizza’s… You won’t go hungry here!

Want to be part of the best crowd in the world? Nevis Range has been home to the

Fort William Mountain Bike World Cup since 2002. An event not to be missed and the only one of it’s kind in the UK, the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup at-tracts thousands of mountain bike en-thusiasts from all over the world. Watch some of the best downhill riders send-ing it down the side of Aonach Mor into the finish area where they will be wel-comed by thousands of spectators.

WINTER PLAYGROUND

Make sure Scotland’s Highest snow sports destination is your choice for snowsports

this Winter. Our Winter Season normally runs from late December - April (this can vary so be sure to check the latest conditions via our Mountain Report on our website). Whether you are after snowsport lessons, equipment hire or lift passes we’ve got you covered.

Learn to ski or board at our Snows-ports School this Winter! Our instruc-tors will provide you with a mountain experience to remember. All instruc-tors are ISIA qualified & provide les-sons for all abilities from complete beginners to experienced snowsports enthusiasts.

HIGHLAND PARADISE What better way to explore Aonach Mor’s flo-ra, fauna and wildlife, than on foot? Venture to one of our two mountain view points or opt for one of many forest walks - you will be amazed by the natural beauty surrounding you! Explore one of the established mountain trails, which lead to panoramic viewpoints. On a clear day these can extend as far as the Inner Hebrides. Mountain trails are signposted and start at the Gondola Top Station. Both walking routes are accessible for visitors with a variety of abilities.

VIEWPOINTS

Take a trip to the hidden valley and enjoy scenic views of Lean-achan forest and the Great Glen. Runs at lunchtimes on week days during the busy summer months. Visitors will need to buy a Gon-dola ticket to access the Scenic Chair. Tickets can be bought at our Ticket office or at the Scenic Chair. In winter the chair is known as the Great Glen Chair and is used by ski-ers and snowboarders.

Meall Beag is a slightly longer trail, taking approximately 1 hour to return. Leading visitors to a point where the views across Loch Lin-nhe, Loch Eil, the hills of Ardgour and Moidart are simply stunning.

SGURR FINNIS-AIG

The walk to Sgurr Finnis-aig is the shorter of the two trails, taking approximately 40 minutes to return. Looking out across the Great Glen and Hills of Knoydart, you can also look back to the impressive over-shadowing mass of Carn Mor Dearg and Ben Nevis.

Leanachan forest is popular for walking, running and gentle cycling, with miles of trails that present op-portunities to view nature, wildlife and the spectacular forest scenery Fort William and Lochaber! Keep your eyes open maybe you’ll catch sight of Pinemartens, Red Deer or even Golden Eagles!

Situated at the base of Aonach Mor, the Pin-emarten Cafe Bar serves a selection of hot and cold snacks as well as main meals with a choice of specials each day. The Pinemarten Cafe Bar offers a range of ‘ready to eat’ specials each day. There’s also a selection of paninis and burgers, including our signature ‘Aonach Mor Burger’.

MOUNTAIN DISCOVERY CENTRE Learn all about Nevis Range and Aonach Mor at the Mountain Discovery Centre. Whatever your age or background, Nevis Range aims to enhance your knowledge of our natural resources. Learn about the geology, biology, climate and history of this unique environment. The Mountain Discovery Centre, located at the Gondola top station, was created with the objective of educating adults and children alike, about the wildlife, mountain habitat and landscape that surround us. Interpretation panels, interactive displays and video footage all aid in the learning experience. The Centre is open during the summer months, June – October.

WHO

Everybody – no skill required; just a short walk back up the slope, climb up the tower, and then sit back and enjoy whizzing down the slide. *No age limit, but we ask that young children are supervised by an adult.

Flying amongst Britain’s highest peaks is a spectacular experience and Nevis Range is a popular destination for paragliders and hang-gliders. Our Gondola offers a quick and effortless ride to a take-off altitude of 650m from either the Sgurr Finnisg-aig or Meall Beag viewpoints. All pilots are welcome to make use of the facilities; hang-gliders can use the freight deck to carry their equipment to the top sta-tion - just give us the heads up before you arrive and we will make preparations.
