Cambridge Program
This program is guided by curriculum developed and perfected by the University of Cambridge in Cambridge England.
This program with intensify the rigor of students’ daily learning.
It provides classes with additional elements of active learning, collaboration both with other students and between related classes.
Cambridge programs combine an emphasis on mastering subjects in depth with the development of skills for study and work in the future.

• All 6th grade students will take Global Perspectives – which is unique to Cambridge Curriculum.
• All students and teachers have access to Cambridge International Curriculum.

What is NOT okay
▪ Disrupting the learning environment
▪ Being mean or disrespectful
▪ Touching other people or their property
▪ Running on campus outside of PE or a supervised sport
▪ Being outside of assigned areas.
▪ Horseplay - (playing tag, "pretend fighting", slapping each other, throwing water, etc.)
▪ Wearing hats or hoodies inside the building
▪ Not complying with the request of staff members
▪ Cussing on campus, or at other people, especially the staff
Two fairly simple rules to keep in mind -
If you wouldn't do it or say it with your parents or grandparents standing next to you, then you shouldn't do it or say it!
If you wouldn't want someone to do it or say it to your parents or grandparents, (or you) then you shouldn't do it or say it!
School is for learning
▪ Middle school is important because it builds the foundation of skills students need to pass the Graduation Requirements mandated by the State of Florida.
▪ These State mandated Graduation Requirements/Tests occur during the Freshman and Sophomore years in High School – so the foundational skills are learned in middle school.
School is NOT for
▪Bringing drama from Social Media
▪ Finding a Boyfriend or Girlfriend
▪Hanging out with your friends in the hallways.
Current School Schedule
9:30 am – 4:30 pm
HOST –Morning Fee Based Care: Drop off as early as 7:30 am
3-D Stingrays -Free Afterschool CareMonday - Thursday:Pick up until 6:00 pm
Breakfast and Lunch
Breakfast:
• Breakfast is served each morning from
9:00 am – approx. 9:20 am
• Breakfast is free for all students
Lunch:
• We currently have 3 lunches each day.
• Lunch is also free for all students.
• Snacks and other ala carte options
are available for a fee.

Cambridge Honors Institute

Cambridge Honors Institute
It also encourages students to develop higher order thinking skills - problem solving, critical thinking, independent research, collaboration and presenting arguments.
The Institute will provide students with additional Magnet field
experiences, speakers, leadership development, and academic challenges.
The Cambridge Lower Secondary courses within the Honors
Institute will prepare students for the rigors of the Cambridge AICE program and all other HS higher level programs including AP, IB and Dual Enrollment.
RMMS Honors Institute Students can earn up to 6 high school credits in Algebra or Algebra 1 Honors, Spanish 1, Spanish 2, Agricultural Foundations, and Science (possibly Geometry depending on placement in 6th grade based on testing).
Cambridge Honors Institute Expectations
• It is an expectation that students maintain a B or better in their core classes.
• It is also an expectation that students will follow the Learner Attributes at all times. In addition, Cambridge students will always set a good example and work cooperatively with others.
Math Placement Test for Cambridge Honors Institute
▪ Saturday, May 22, 2021
▪ 9 AM in the Multi-purpose Room at Rodgers Middle Magnet School
▪ Students will also need to sign up for a Math class this summer on Hillsborough Virtual School.
