Armacost was selected as the 13th president of UND in December and is slated to officially begin his position June 1, 2020. He recently completed his service as the dean of faculty at the U.S. Air Force Academy. With more than 30 years on active duty and 20 years at the Academy, he served in the rank of brigadier general as the chief academic officer for this nationally ranked institution. Then, hear why head football coach, Kyle “Bubba” Schweigert, thinks UND is the right place for you. He’ll share his best “coaching tips” to help you be successful as you begin to make your impact on the world at UND. Bubba Schweigert, ’95 Head coach Kyle “Bubba” Schweigert will enter his seventh season at the helm of UND’s NCAA Division I football program for the 2020 season. In November 2016, Schweigert led the team to a stunning victory to capture UND’s first-ever Big Sky Conference football championship. The Zeeland, N.D., native returned to UND after 10 years away from the program that he helped lead to the 2001 NCAA Division II national title as defensive coordinator. Schweigert brings a wealth of coaching experience, is a proven recruiter, an effective communicator and has an incredible passion for the game and for the success of his student-athletes on the field and in the classroom. 1:15 p.m. – UND is Your Next Step ... Maybe with an Extra $1,000!Chester Fritz Auditorium You’ll learn what your next steps are after hearing from UND grad and current UND employee Katherine Dachtler.

And if you’re lucky, you might be one of the 10 students chosen at random to receive a $1,000 UND scholarship applied to your fall 2020 tuition.*

* Must be present to win and must enroll full time at UND for Fall 2020.

Katherine DachtlerKatherine Dachtler is employed at the University of North Dakota and resides in Grand Forks with her family. She believes in the power of engagement and enjoys volunteering for various organizations and nonprofits within the community.

She received her bachelor’s degree in general studies from UND along with minors in communication and nonprofit leadership, as well as a diversity & inclusion certificate. She is currently pursuing her master’s of social work at UND and also is serving as Ward 2 representative on the Grand Forks City Council.

Campus Administrator Panel Gorecki Alumni Center (Map F/G-5) | Gransberg RoomAs parents, you probably have a lot of questions about UND and what it’s like. Hear firsthand from UND campus administrators about what students can expect in the classroom.

Mini Academic Sessions Student groups will be escorted from the Chester Fritz Auditorium to various campus locations.

You’ll have the opportunity to participate in mini academic sessions and hands-on learning activities with UND professors and/or students. This is your chance to get a sneak peek of what it’s like to be a UND student and learn from experts who are passionate about what they teach!

Student Life & Experience Panel Chester Fritz Auditorium (Map F-6)When it comes to what it’s like to be a student here, no one can explain it better than current UND students. They’ve been in your shoes, and they’ll share with you everything you want to know – what it’s like to move away from home, life in the residence halls, how to make friends, the best study spots and their favorite professors. Students and parents will walk away knowing that UND is the right choice for the future.

Wellness CenterMap C/D-7/8 Take a 15-minute tour of the UND Wellness Center to see why it’s been named one of the best student recreation centers in the nation or check out the Rock Wall and go for a climb. Stop by the front desk between 2 and 4 p.m. and ask for a tour of the facility.
